Chapter 9

A few days passed by. Jeonghan told me we should tell the truth about him to Seokmin as well. I wasn't sure about that at all.

During the lunch time, we found Soonyoung and went together to the library.

"Er, Soonyoung... I wanted to ask you something," I spoke after a few seconds. 

"Sure, what is it?" he asked, smiling.

"Eh... It's about Seokmin... You know about Jeonghan already, so... I was thinking-"

Soonyoung cut me off suddenly. "You wanted to tell Seokmin about Jeonghan too, right?" he asked. "I'm not sure how he will act after hearing that, but you can try it at least."

"Maybe you're right, Soonyoung. I just don't know how to tell him about it..."

Soonyoung looked behind me and a slight smirk appeared on his face. "Tell him now since he's right there," he said, pointing somewhere behind me.

I froze for a moment, slowly turning around to face the boy who was approaching us.

Seokmin waved at us with a huge smile. "Hi, you two! I hope I'm not disturbing you, I was just looking for Soonyoung, haha," he said with a nervous smile, scratching the back of his neck.

"N-No, it's okay," I smiled nervously. I gulped and took a breath. Okay, Jisoo... Now or never!

"Seokmin?"

The called boy sat down beside Soonyoung and turned to me with a raised brow. "Hm?"

I noticed Soonyoung's slight nod in my direction. I took a deep breath and exhaled. "Can I talk with you about something very important?"

Jeonghan put his hand on my shoulder gently, giving me a supportive smile. "You can do it, Jisoo."

"Er... There is a thing... Soonyoung already knows about it and I thought you should know about it too," I spoke with a calm voice.

"Okay...?" Seokmin looked a bit nervously at me and turned to Soonyoung. 

"It'll be alright, Seok," Soonyoung whispered in Seokmin's direction almost inaudibly, giving him a supportive smile.

Focus, Jisoo! It's not time for dying over their cute friendship! I took a deep breath.

"Okay... So... I don't know how to explain it at all, to be honest," I said and looked at the table. "I- Did you hear about a student named Yoon Jeonghan?" I looked at the boy.

He slightly nodded. "Y-Yeah... I heard what happened back then..."

"Er... it was my boyfriend and then a month later happened something weird..." I continued. I felt a little bit nervous. "One day I came home and entered my room I found a box on my bed. I took it and there was a paper and then I put the bracelet on my hand." I showed him the bracelet. "Then something happened... I have to warn you 'cause it will sound a little bit weird..." I sighed. "As I said, when I put the bracelet on my hand something happened. Let's say from the day I can see him. I can see Yoon Jeonghan and there is one more thing..."

Seokmin frowned a bit. "What is it?"

I stopped for a second. "Wait a minute. You- you are not asking if I am joking or something?"

He shook his head. "I don't think you're trying to make fun of me, Jisoo. And, of course, I don't think you're weird. Let's say I didn't tell anyone until now, but I've always believed in ghosts and so on. I also secretly read about those things in books for years."

I raised my brows. "Wait, seriously?"

"Yeah. Why would I lie to you?" he grinned, scratching the back of his neck. 

"I know you wouldn't lie to me. I just- I don't know, man... It's just... er... You believed what I said from the beginning and didn't laugh at me. I'm not still used to it at all, to be honest," I grinned nervously.

"It's alright. So... Is Jeonghan with us now?"

I laughed quietly. "Of course. He's been with us all the time. And I can do one more thing. I can touch him," I grinned. "And I almost forgot to mention the most important thing..."I said with a deep sigh. "I think it will now sound like a fairy tale, but-" I took a breath and exhaled. "Jeonghan can be alive again..."

Seokmin raised his brow in shock. "Like really?" Then he furrowed his brows. "Wait a sec... What's behind all of this? It's like an eye for an eye, am I right? What do you need to do to bring your boyfriend into our world?"

"This is the most difficult part of it," I sighed heavily.

Soonyoung after a long time added to the conversation. "He needs to find Jeonghan's killer," he said quietly. "It wasn't an accident back then," he added with a sigh.

"What!?" Seokmin shouted aloud in shock.

"Shhhh!" the librarian looked at us with a strict look. We gave him apologetical smiles.

"I think we should get going. Our lunchtime is about to end," Soonyoung spoke suddenly.

I looked at Soonyoung and got up quickly. "Oh my god! I almost forgot it was lunchtime, haha," I said and laughed quietly.

Seokmin as well stood up. "Yeah... Me too."

"Soonyoung turned to us. "I think we're detectives from now on. I mean all of us. I mean even Jeonghan and... I don't know how it works, but if you can hear me, Jeonghan. I hope I'll meet you in person one day. I mean I'll see your face," he smiled nervously. "Sorry, guys... I think I'm a bit of a mess," he added, grinning.
