Jiwoon's POV:

I grab the apartment keys, my phone, and the soaked umbrella, I put my coat on, and commence the walking motor, I ran down the stairs as fast as I could, rain still pouring. Being optimistic has brought its fruits to my nightfall, and I analyze on my way to the clinic located 8 buildings away.

"If he has shifted a finger, that means that the nerve system is still able to lead his motions, which means his body cooperated with the remedy" I talk to myself along the route, smiling on my way there.

Polished led lights confront me and I know I'm facing the massive hospital, I wait for the red lights across the street stopping me from traversing the street, with people standing beside me. "12 seconds" I whisper determinedly, and even though my heart kept racing against the ribcage keeping it from blasting, my feet were so prepared to start running again. Soaked, I keep on trying to breathe even, and I fail to the ringing sounds of my phone. I steal a look at the traffic sign where the number 08 is widely displayed, then I check the caller, and it's none other than Felix.

A full teethed smile dominates over my features when I'm reminded that I will soon tell him about my dad's health improvement, when I'm gonna be gluing a never fading grin to his precious mug, obtaining the sunshine he is back. And just when I get my thumb to slide on the screen, raindrops fill both the phone and my frozen fingers, and it drops off my hand.

"Shit" I blurt, I lean to the soil when people start crossing the street, loud footsteps on the hard ground, I found no trace of the phone, but it's still ringing, I kneel even more before frowning at the sight of the broken screen, and to not so favorable thing that can happen to someone in my shoes. My phone was deeply stuck in the public sewers, it doesn't take many seconds to turn off when the running water from the street fills the gap.

Great heavens.

I look once again at the road. 04 is shown, in green this time. Revealing the times left until vehicles fill the lane again.

I catch my breath, carry my weight and run as fast as possible before the cars start to hunk at my running figure, leaving my phone in the sewers.

I take the elevator multiply tapping the button, I meet my dad's doctor in that elevator, and we make our way to his room.

"Miss Lee Jiwoon, I guess you know why we called you, we stated how Mr. Lee's body has been answering to the treatment, moving a finger this evening is giving optimistic calculations on what may come"

I hold my dad's hand when I listen to the doctor, caressing my palm on his, my heart is pounding hard now, a bit nervous at the thought of dad waking up, and scenarios are already created inside of my head after the doc's exit.

How am I gonna greet him? I'm not sure if he will be able to interact with me, but at least I'm gonna have another chance with my parent. And then, mom, I don't know where she is, but I'm pretty sure she is watching over us right now, comfortable to see us. I don't know how am I gonna be telling dad about it, but I'm not letting him know when he wakes up, not in his condition.

I have to call Felix to tell him, Jihwan, Yeo. And Seonghwa, who has been with me even with the distance barrier, even when it's nighttime there and daylight here, even when it's raining here and exceptionally sunny there. Creating balance, Mother Nature, being considerate.
