Killer grunted and as he barely was able to miss the hit ink sent him, he stumbled as he tried to land perfectly on the ground but clearly missing due to the fresh cut on his side. Leading him to grasp on his side as he fell on one knee
He urgently looked at his surroundings in search of nightmare only to see him protecting,, cross,

The chapter is called What do I do it for, it mostly revolves around that Killer is willing to do anything just to have Nightmare pay attention to him or to touch him and Nightmare is aware of killer having feelings for him and he took advantage of that. So he and Killer would have one nightstand or hook up once in a while and Killer thought he was finally like getting noticed by him in a romantic way but he doubts it because he always wakes up alone in bed and sees Nightmare and Cross getting way to comfortable. And the whole idea came from the song Your Teeth in my Neck by Kali Uchis, yeah the angst chapter was killer constantly trying to get his attention but realizing that he'll never get what he wants,
