Like every day she had to open her locker to get her books for her next class. The only thing that bothered him was the letters full of feelings from teenagers. He tried his best to tell each girl he wasn't interested in the nicest way possible but they were too insistent and wouldn't give up, if they knew....

Will grabs his books and next to them fall a few notes, one of them catches his eye and he reads it.

Translation: I hope you drown in those stupid letters of stupid feelings, clown you are not the center of attention

It was poorly written and his anger could be seen in it.
The note looked familiar but he didn't know in what form. Ignoring the contents, he rolled the paper into a ball and threw it into the wastebasket next to his locker.

First thing in the morning he had economy, so it was his turn to carry the fattest book in his locker. The two hours he had to do economics were killer, a little boring but passable. If he had had that class with Mike everything would have gone faster but unfortunately fate divided them.

The next one was P.E. and this one he did have with Mike. They were sent to stretch in pairs and obviously Will was put with Mike escaping the girls' proposals to be his warm-up partner.

-Will, I have to tell you something very important, but not here.

-Then when?

-At break time I'll meet you in the bathrooms on the second floor, where the chemistry lab is.

Will nods and continues to do his physical education exercises.

After being part of several morning subjects without Mike it was time for break. He left the literature class to head up to the second floor to the chemistry lab. In the bathroom she saw Mike leaning on the sink looking at himself in the mirror with a wet face and quite serious.

-Mike, are you okay?

-I'm sorry to be a bad friend.

Will looks at him confused.

-What are you talking about?

-The note, it was me.

Will realizes that the hate letter was Mike.

-It's okay, I didn't think anything of it," he goes over to relax him but is pushed away.

-No Will, I'm a shitty, jealous frog-faced shit," he looks at Will through the reflection in the mirror, "I'm jealous that you're so popular with the girls, jealous of that attention, why the hell am I not the same? Am I that ugly?

-Beauty is subjective, to me you are very attractive," Will realizes what he said, he said that beauty is perceived by your feelings, and if he now knows that he likes it.

Mike stares at him, opens his mouth to say something but ends up closing it and returns to look at his reflection in the mirror.

-I hate beauty standards, I hate having to comply with what everyone expects, you're lucky, lucky to get the girls you want.

-I don't want girls," he shouts annoyed, fed up he decides to say everything: "Stop playing the victim, you are not a bad friend because of the note, you are a bad friend for not realizing that your BEST FRIEND is not interested in girls, you never realized, are you really my best friend? Or just a simple impostor who keeps victimizing himself because girls don't pay attention to him? -He looks at him hurt: "Do you only care about yourself? You're selfish.

Will, annoyed, leaves the bathroom to go to the dining room to eat with Dustin and the gang.

Mike is shocked, Will just scolded him? Will? His dear Will? Wait...he doesn't like women? Is he gay? Or asexual? Arromantic? Too many questions run through Mike's brain, questions that would leave him thinking all day.
