To be a person in this world
To be possessive in this world

To be the only one around
The only one without a frown
How do I be human
Is my body what makes me a person
Is my body what makes me worth it
Am I nothing but an object of lust
Is this what makes us us
What does it mean to be a human
To be in pain
To feel the same
To feel the shame
What does it mean to be me
To be a person in a body
That's been looked at
That's been grasped at
That's been claimed
Rearranged
And dragged at
Who am I
To you
Am I human
In this body that's been ravaged by everybody
Am I even worth your time
Just one step at a time
And I'll be human
Just one day at a time
There's no way in this time
I can't be human
