Adeline's POV:

It's Saturday

Which means I woke up to no alarm and I get to go back to sleep.

Finally peace.....

"Adeline!"

Never mind.

I wait for a minute and they didn't call for me again. So I go back to sleep.

Or at least try to.

As soon as I get comfy and start to make my way back to my beloved dream land, my blankets are so rudely ripped off of me.

"Phoebe! It's Saturday!" I whine trying to reach for my blankets.

"You said you wanted to go to the arcade today" She continued dropping them on the floor. I looked up at her to see she was already ready for the day.

"Yeah, but not in place of my sleep" I get up frustratedly and reach down for my blankets.

"Hey, what is going on in here?" Dad said as he came into my room.

"Phoebe is trying to kill me" I say with the back of my hand pressed to my forehead like I'm a damsel in distress in an old film.

He rolls his eyes with a smile.

How dare he!

I mean she wasn't....but that's beside the point!

She shakes her head, "Adeline said she wanted to go to the arcade today but now she won't get up."

"Well, she looks like she's up now." He laughs.

Excuse me sir, not by my choice!

I turn to him and glare, "Really?" His smile fades.

Everyone in this house knows I am not a morning person, yet here we are.

"Is that your mother I hear?" He said suddenly.

"I didn't hear her?" Phoebe says confused. But I can see right through his shenanigans!

He covers his mouth and makes his voice high pitch, "Oh husband, I need help in the kitchen"

"Coming wife of mine! Sorry kids, gotta go." With that he speed walks out and goes to the kitchen.

We can hear him in there trying to hold a conversation between him and 'mom'. Not even a minute later mom comes in my room, "Who is you father talking to?"

Me and Phoebe share a look and laugh.

"You apparently" Phoebe says turning back to mom.

She shakes her head with a smile on her face, "He is such a weirdo" with that she goes to the kitchen.

I sigh, "I guess I'll go get ready." I say since I'm already up.

"Finally!"

Me and Phoebe make our way to the kitchen for breakfast.

"Hello my sweet girls" Mom said as she put two plates of pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream down.

"Hello mother" Phoebe says with a wide smile.

"Pancakes!" I say. "Oh and hi mom" I smile at her.

She chuckled, "I figured you would like some pancakes for breakfast."

"Thank you mom" Phoebe said sitting down at the table beside me.

"Yeah thank you!" I try to say but it comes out muffled due to my mouth being full of deliciousness.
