"....EGYPT?!" You stared at your mother in shock, "WHAT IN THE HELL-"
"Suurrrppprriiisseeeee....?" Your mother nervously jazzed her hands, "Yeah, we are going to Egypt."
"...what a coincidence.." Bakura mumbled under his breath, "When are you leaving?"
"I will be kidnapping her starting next week, March 25th. I did it around the time you have no school, so you better start packing from now if you don't want to shroud all the packing for one night." She replied while pointing her finger at you.
"H...How long will we be there?" You asked.
"Around a week." Your mother shrugged her shoulders, "Again, need to finalize some work-related stuff."
"A WEEK?!" You gasped, "The last time we went-" Your voice practically died the moment you thought about the last time you went to Egypt. You stood there, suddenly finding yourself thinking about the last time you went....how you wandered around the marketplace of that one street....and bumped into-
"Yeah, I know it was for around four days, but this time it's special!" Your mother broke you out of your brief trance with a gleeful look on her face, "This time, the company actually wants to include us in a glimpse of Egyptian culture!"
"Huh?" You blinked, "Wait what?"
"Yeah! It honestly surprised me too," Your mother nodded her head, "They wanted to thank me for helping them out with their business, so they want to return the favor by giving us a....a.." She pulled out a sheet of paper as though she was reciting all this to herself before you came in, "...a tanoura."
"A tanoura?" You and Bakura asked at the same time,
"Yes! It's a..uh....even I am not too sure. Maybe we'll find out when we get there! ANYWAY," She turned to Bakura with a smile, "You can even help (y/n) pack as well at some point!"
"Well, if (y/n) is okay with it." Bakura shrugged his shoulders, "You never told me you went to Egypt before." He said as he turned to you,
"Oh, yeah I did...like a long ass time ago." You answered.
"Ten years ago." Your mother responded, "Do you remember the last time we went?" She asked with a smile on her face, "I remember your face when you saw all the little street cats. You almost smuggled one home too...if I didn't catch you stuffing the cat in one of our carry ons, oh boy..." Your mother groaned as she turned to prepare dinner.
"T-Then it's a pinkie promise! We shall meet again!"
Those words haunted you faster when awake than when asleep. I wonder if he is still there... You watched Bakura quietly follow your mother to make sure she doesn't need any other assistance before accompanying you. You stood in the same place and stared at the kitchen area before realizing something about that memory.
You never told your mother about that boy.
She remembers all the cats that you tried smuggling back home, but you remember hiding the boy in your closet-
You stiffened at that recollection. Just before more memories of those days came back, Bakura pulled you back into reality by merely approaching you with a curious look,
"Why haven't you told me you went to Egypt?" He asked as your attention averted to Bakura.
"...I mean, it has been a long time." You answered as you finally stepped away from where you were standing. You headed upstairs to your room with Bakura following shortly behind, "Interested in Egypt?" You asked with a smirk.
