Chapter Nineteen

Tears.

I moved away from Daemon taking his hands off me "is this your son?" I asked as he looked down before looking at Liliana

"I should've killed you" he spat

"Oh the gods" I said quietly as tears formed My mother and Alicent along with Rhaenyra were at my sit Rhae holding my arm signalling she was there for me while my mother looked me in the eye unsure what to say or do same with Alicent who just looked at my pitifully

Happy ending? I doubt it.

"Daphne I swear to you she does not matter" Daemon stated as he came close to me I looked away from him

He's a whore.

"I demand my son to no longer be named a bastard!" Liliana began "he deserves his birthright!" She looked at the iron throne "I have been praying to the gods for this courage I will not have it be for nothing" she ended making me laugh

I walked closer to her back to where I once stood with the king next to me "praying to the gods for us to have mercy on you?" I laughed again stepping closer to her so we were just inches away "the gods have no mercy that's why they're gods" I said with a straight face

"I deserve to be named princess for all that I have endured!" She yelled making me laugh again

"I would love nothing more than to slice your throat Liliana do not push me and do not tempt my fury nor my love" I stated

"I want to be you! You have gotten everything handed to you! Your entire life I deserve the same! We both came from the same father!" She said I laughed at her one more

"Daphne" my mother called I looked at her to see her on the floor coughing up blood

"Mama" I ran to her as knights walked over as-well "take her to her chambers!" I ordered and they did so by lifted her up and began leaving the room as I looked at Rhaenyra "get the Maesters" I ordered she ran off

Viserys quickly hurried off to my mothers aid as Alicent walked with me passing Liliana only to stop as she spoke again before we even left the room

"I want what I am owed Daemon! You as well princess Daphne!" I walked over to her noticing her boy had ran off somewhere probably outside

I slapped her, hard across the face. "My mother is possibly dying and your upset that you had a Bastard to a man who is already claimed" I stated as she held her cheek for a moment before talking

"Claimed by whom?" She asked

"Me" I slapped her again she held her cheek again. "One word and I hit you again" She stayed silent "good" I told her as Daemon smirked taking my hand and walking to my mother Alicent behind us as she got caught looking at Liliana

"You didn't have to hit her" Alicent stated

"You can throw me in the dungeon for hitting a whore or we can all laugh about it someday" I told her as we entered my mothers room

"You hit her?" my mother and Viserys asked I paused

"Maybe?" I questioned

"Twice" Daemon stated proudly lifting up two fingers

I can be mad at him later.

"What is the matter with my mama?" I asked one of the Maesters as I walked over to my mother, I knelt and held her hand

"She is quite ill we do not know the cause yet princess" he stated

"Can you do something ? anything? to stop it or help her?" I asked

"We can try princess but it may not work" I looked at the Maester

"This is my mother you will make it work!" I yelled through tears

My mother placed her hand on my head making me look up at her

"It is alright my dear" she gave me a sad smile

"We haven't had any time" I whispered sounding like a little child whom didn't want to lose her Mommy. "Please" I begged "don't-" I was cut off by her wiping away my tears

"There is always a beginning and ending of a book Daphne" she stated before sitting up with help from my uncle as I watched her through glassy eyes "this is my ending I'm afraid" she placed her hands on my face "you are my greatest inspiration and my best achievement my dear" she ended before laying back down

"I'm afraid we do not have time Daphne" Viserys stated I looked up at him

"No" I denied

"We shall leave you to say your goodbyes" he stated as Alicent gave me a saddened smile and Daemon kissed my head before they both left followed by Rhaenyra after she hugged me from behind.

The king was the last to leave after bowing the my mother and saying he wished fate had been kinder within the last years, he also bowed to me before walking out the door, the maesters followed and shut the door behind them

"Mama" I begged "please don't leave me" I added tears now falling like a stream down my face

"I love you Issa byka prince" she stated using Valyrian

My little princess.

"Mama" I said as she closed her eyes "mama!" I yelled as the Maesters came running back in along with everyone else now including my brother who pulled me away from my mothers side letting her arm fall down over her bed "mama!" I screamed punching my brother and pulling away from him

"Enough Daphne she is gone!" Elijah yelled as I fell to the floor, on my knees in tears

"Mama" I cried as Daemon held me

"She's gone love she's gone" he whispered as the Maesters began to move my mothers body

"what are they doing?" I asked still crying as I pulled away from daemon just for him to grab me back and continue to hug me tightly

"Taking her to peace" he uttered

I know he isn't telling the truth the maesters we're taking her to get ready for the funeral ceremony.

I don't want to say goodbye, instead I just want my mama back. Instead of just being left with tears.
