Chapter Thirty-Seven

Here comes the bride..

The ceremony was held in Kings Landing and as Daemon and I rode on our dragons across the castle walls we were met with cheers and applause

We arrived as one and soon parted ways with Daemon claiming he could not wait for us to be wed, and of course with a kiss he was out of sight with Viserys leaving myself with Alicent, Rhaenyra and Rhaeyrs who all smiled at me

"Finally a family member I actually like" Rhaenyra stated lacing her arm with mine and ignoring the other two women who rolled their eyes making me laugh

"Of course Rhaenyra I cannot wait to be your Aunt and boss you around" I jested earning a laugh from all three women as we walked into the Castle

"Liliana is here" Elijah interrupted I glanced at my brother and gave him a smile before turning to the ladies

"Excuse us" I smiled before taking a hold of my brothers arm and walking with him into a meeting room

"Daphne I know this is your day-" I held my back to the door

"I know what you did to our mother" I told him "I have been wondering what to do with you lately it's been plaguing my mind to either kill you or use you" I stated while walking around the room

"Daph-"

"I am the queen of the north and eventually I will be the queen of the seven kingdoms" I told him meeting his eyes and holding my hands in my own "and you don't know fuck about our family if anyone was to kill our mother it was my right and yet you had the au-"

"Daphne listen-"

"Enough!" I yelled "your queen is speaking Elijah" I added "You had the audacity to take her from me when she did not abuse you like she did me you didn't have to go days without eating or wear a tight enough corset to just look desirable which ended in bruises when you took it off." I told him "but you are my brother, my blood and for some reason Liliana trust you" I let out a breath before looking at him

"Daphne you know my loyalty is to only you" he told me giving me a smile "and I would gladly kill her for you but it is illegal-"

"Not if you kill her the same way you killed our mother" I told him

"You're really asking me to do this?"

"Yes your queen. Is" I told him

"Of course your grace" he bowed

"Now I have to go ask a bigger favour" I sighed before going to leave my brother in the room but only to stop "I want it to happen during the party that way both myself and my husband to be has an alibi and neither you can be questioned into it despite how much I would love to see the life drain from her" I added before walking out the door

I stared at myself in the mirror a red dress was the perfect dress for uniting The Targaryens and I

The door to the room opened and in walked Rhaenyra "you are a vision!" She cheered smiling at me

"Rhaenyra I wish to ask you something" I told her as my ladies left us

"Anything Daph" she smiled

"Viserys is walking me down the aisle but I was wondering if you would join him" I said playing with my hands nervous.

"Of course Daphne we're you worried I'd say no?" She laughed before we hugged

"I love you little princess" I smiled at her using her old nickname from when we were children

"And I love you sister" she smiled

I breathed before looking at myself again "I heard Liliana is here." Rhaenyra stated

"She won't be" I told her "I've ordered the guard to remove her from the castle" Rhaneyra nodded believing my lie

I smiled in the mirror once more "A lady wife who would have thought"

"And to my uncle of all people" Rhaneyra laughed and I joined her

"Took him long enough" I added as we continued to laugh

Alicent entered my chambers "it is time" she stated smiling

I nodded at her and smiled at my two friends "I am glad we are not fighting anymore"

"Wasn't that exhausting" Rhaneyra added as the two placed their arms around mine

"No doubt Rhaneyra" Alicent continued "but soon enough we will all be family even our little ones could be betrothed when you are Daemon are with child"

The brightness of the sun will give me just enough to bury my love.

"Of course Ali" I smiled as we walked out of the room and made our way towards the hall where everyone stood waiting on us

Daemon didn't look as the doors opened, Alicent walked away as Viserys took her place

"You look beautiful little deer"

Aemma.

"Thank you uncle" I told him

"She would be so proud of you" Viserys stated "if you both" he added making Rhaneyra and I smile as we looked towards the alter
