Episode 16: Darkness Within

Definitely one of the better ones.

Plot: The ninja find a way to escape the underground tunnels and are rescued by Nya who takes them to the old Samurai X cave. Meanwhile Lloyd witnesses the ceremony that turns the council into Crystalized villains and reawakens the Crystal King who turns out to be the Overlord.

Things I enjoyed:

- Lloyd's just hanging there like a tetherball the whole time and it's hard not to laugh at that.

- Kai and the rat made me laugh.

- I love the look of the crystal weapons and villains.

- Pythor making fun of Asphera is so funny.

- Lloyd's reaction to the overlord was hard to watch but it was great!

- I'm so glad Nya got to do something important. I was worried about that.

- Cole almost letting his friends down was so sad, but it's exactly what this episode needed.

Things I didn't like:

- I like Micheal Adamthwaite's singing, but that cursed ramen song was kind of annoying.

- I am going to miss that mech though, that thing was so cool.

Favorite line:

"You're wrong. I am nothing like my father." -Lloyd

Overall score: 9/10
