Rosa sat next to Klaus at Father Kieran's wake. It was a sight to see. It seemed all of the city had shown up. It wasn't like the wakes she had been too. They were at a bar and there was music and partying instead of grief and crying. She kind of liked it.

"Hey! Earth to you!" The pair looked over at Camille who had a few wounds on her face.

"Your face—"

"Will heal." Cami interrupted. "Listen, I want to thank you—"

Klaus held up his glass, "Unless you've come equipped with the means to fill this, no additional platitudes necessary." Klaus said.

Rosa looked at him confused, "What's a platitude?"

Klaus glanced at Rosa and sighed. He had a look on his face that Rosa deemed the "I'll explain it later" look.

Cami looked at Klaus, an irritated expression on her face. "Okay, I'm in a crap mood because my uncle just died, and people are partying like it's Mardi Gras. What's your excuse?" She narrowed her eyes at Klaus's snarky expression. "Klaus, seriously, what's going on?"

Klaus sighed and shifted slightly in his seat. "I've been having these dreams about my death father. No diagnosis necessary, love. I've already got this one covered: my fears of fatherhood, of scarring my child as my father scarred me, are manifesting as nightmares. It's horrifically cliche."

Rosa looked at Klaus with raised eyebrows, "Well, as long as you've got it covered." She commented, leaning into his arm.

Cami nodded, "Truthfully? I'm just surprised to hear you acknowledge out loud that you're going to be dad. You've been very hesitant to accept it."

"Amen." Rosa said, raising her glass that had nothing besides water. She took a sip and sighed, "I cannot wait until I can start drinking again."

Klaus shook his head and put his arm around Rosa's shoulder. "Yes, it will definitely make you more bearable." Rosa responded with a sharp glare and an elbow to Klaus's rib cage.

Klaus's eyes drifted when he saw Marcel walk into the bar. Rosa wasn't sure if she was about to witness another war or not.

Klaus stared off at Marcel as he spoke again, "I know more about the trials of fatherhood than you might imagine, Camille."

Cami turned to see Marcel, "And it worked out for you so well the first time, why change a thing?"

Rosa looks at Klaus as Cami walks away from their table. "Have I mentioned how much I love her. Because I do."

Klaus was about to reply when he met Marcel's eyes across the bar, causing him to have a momentary pause.

After a few minutes, Marcel stood in the center of the bar, preparing to make a toast to the entire party. " I know I haven't been around these parts lately. It's a testament to Father Kieran that we could come together and share a drink, and a story or two. Kieran rolled into town on a rusty old cruiser after his daddy died twenty-five years ago. And damnit, that guy could party! That was, of course, before he took his vows. But, even then, he was committed to the Quarter. He knew that this town needed him. And, we still do." Marcel then raised his glass. "To Father K!"
