When Hipper saw VR increasing becoming popular, she decided to make VR game project for increase the Companies fame my making it a Survival-horror game 

And so she chose a game development team to create the game, with each of the member chosen carefully by her and Weser 

But then the sirens came, causing the world to grind into a halt and focus on strengthen their Military, with the revival of shipgirls being proposed to fight the sirens

With this happening, Weser made a decision to make Hipper reset her memories and give Blucher's cube to her and sent her back to Germany as a priority ship to avoid Hipper from being discovered

When Hipper heard Weser's decision, she refuses to reset Weser's memories causing them to argue for sometime until Hipper gives in but makes sure that she left a memory for Weser to remember incase Weser got a glimpse of the memories she's going to erase, With Elizabeth and Hipper saying one final farewell to Weser before her memories were wiped out

And when the shipgirls that fought WW2 that died were revived and those who survived were returned into service by rebuilding their ships, forming the Azur Lane Organization, with Germany mysterious receiving Weser and her ship and Blucher's cube from Hipper in secret 

But with the problem with the sirens being taken care of, the developing of the game was finally complete and was about to be released, until Hipper and some member of the Development team discovered a virus, with the the name of the virus is "William", forcing Hipper to delay the release of the game until the virus was removed or sealed away to develop an anti-virus

It seems even after Henry and Michael destroyed William's remains, he is finding ways to escape hell one way or another 

And then they managed to seal the virus away in a version of the game, while they released the versions of the game that doesn't contain the virus

But somehow the virus replaced itself with one of the games before it got sealed away and before Hipper can do anything, it escaped and might influence the one who have the virus in the game to kill children as his student

It'll take a long time to find William and the person he influenced to do his bidding and so Hipper made decision to build an megaplex in a specific location where she can lure William and his new servant and finishes them by herself

2 Years later 

At the Ironblood HQ

We could see Prinz Eugen, Weser, and Blucher entering Bismarck's office

and as they entered they saluted at Bismarck and then Bismarck spoke

Bismarck: Thank you for coming here you three, Including you Eugen sorry for calling you here

Prinz Eugen: I understand the situation, after all Hipper was already dead when I died after Operation Crossroad wasn't just acceptable to me, they promised me to keep her safe and I can't get her back

When the sisters learned that Hipper died in America due to an fire in 1970's, Eugen was so angry she almost picked fight with one of the Eagle Union shipgirls due to she was drunk and was mourning for Hipper's death at the time, causing Bismarck to send her to  a therapist where she got better after a year and after that she started to attend some sorties but visits a grave made for Hipper, but unfortunately Bismarck interrupted that day where she was about to visit her grave

Bismarck: With that aside, The Northern Parliament is requesting for assistance in the North Sea due to they ran into an huge Siren Fleet, the Royal Navy will be helping them aswell, along with The Iris Orthodoxy and The Sardegna Empire, but until then assist the Northern Parliament fleet until reinforcements arrives are we clear

and so the three left the room to start the mission
