XXXIII. Against (Mavie)

"Hey, Love para namang di ako welcome dito eh" I whispered nang nasa sala kami ni Abby. Masyado kasing tense ngayon especially pa na andito yung kuya nya.

Abby mentioned to me after our dinner with her parents last time na her Dad and kuya were on a "cold war" and matagal nang di umuuwi sa bahay brother nya. She had no idea naman daw kung what the argument was about since both her dad and kuya won't talk. Anyways, I have no right naman to talk or advice anything to her kaya keep quiet nalang muna ako dito.

"Mavie, you are. Hayaan mo na yan sila. They've been like that for months, let's eat nalang. Tara na" irap na sabi nya sabay kuha ng kamay ko papuntang kitchen. In the kitchen, naabutan namin Mommy nya na nagprepare ng foods.

"Mavie, iha, hows school for you. I heard from Abby that you're back sa volleyball team, how about your 2 clubs iha?" her Mom's asking. Napatingin lang sakin Abby as if expecting me to converse to her Mom. Love, you purposely talk about me to your Mom? Why? Para mas gumaan yong loob nila sakin? I timidly smiled but deep inside I am so touched with her gesture.

You, My Love, is everything that's good in this world and I could not ask for more.

"I'm okay naman Tita, school's still the same. While having clubs I am still maintaining my Acads naman" Abby said that her Mom values education pa naman and academics. That's why their strict sakanya when its comes to her grades and extracurricular activities.

"Good to know iha, of course, your top priority should still be your academics. Oh, You get some plates na, Abby, paghainan mo na si Mavie."

When we finished getting some foods from the table, inaya nya ko to eat outside, may table at chairs naman sila sa garden nila.

Susubo na sana ako when I saw her just staring at me. "Po?"
"Nothing Mahal, just its so nice, you talking with my Mom. You know, lagi kitang binabanggit sa kanya. She admires dedication so much kasi. At tsaka, you might not know this but shes complimenting you kanina" and she smiles.

Ngumiti lang ako sakanya. I know what shes doing. Pinapalift nyo yung spirit ko para di ko ma feel na di ako welcome dito.

Kaya mahal na mahal ko to.

We ate in silent na. I don't have anything to say naman din. But everytime I sneek a peek at her, nahuhuli ko syang nakatingin sakin. Love, patay na patay ka naba sakin. Matutunaw nako oh

"What?" Tanong ko sa kanya, di ko na natiis.

"Wala naman. I just love you" sabay yakap sakin
"Abby, Love, andito tayo sa bahay nyo. Baka may makakita" pagpapaalala ko sakanya.

"Sorry, you're so adorable kasi eh" she made this cute pout face tsaka sya bumitaw sa hug. Aisshh

"Let's continue eating na please" pagmamakaawa ko sa kanya.

"Ahahahahah" she just laughed, ako namam ang napatingin sa kanya.
Hayy, i won't ever get tired of her laughing. You won't even see her eyes na, and her smile, abot tenga with her two dimples. I love everything about her. Kakapit ako dito

even if it destroys me.

--couple of days after--

I'm on my way home, galing kami sa lakad ni Abby with our friends. Its Sunday today. Nagkayayaan kasi umattend sa concert ng favorite band ni ate Maggie. It's almost 11 nadin, papasok nako ng room when my phone rang.

*My Love Calling*
*Hey Lo-----"
*Mavie, ...... hu hu" wait she's crying.
*Love, are you okay?where are you?"kinakabahan ako, I haven't heard her like this.
*Mavie, alam na nila, i don't know how,they've suspected this daw from the last time you came here. And they're not happy about it Mav* after hearing her, it is as if I turned to stone. Di ako makagalaw.
*Mav?, Mahal?* nakailang tawag din si Abby sakin before ako natauhan.
*Love, where are you, I'm coming over* ayokong magisa sya ngayon especially now. I know how it is being like this na walang nagpapatahan sayo.
*No Mav, please don't come over. Mas magiging magulo. I'm in my room and grounded. But please, just give it ti--*
*Abby, this is not only your problem. I'm here. Kaya nga diba tayo? I promised you, na if ever there will be a complication with us and your family. Handa akong kausapin sila, Love. Ipaliwanag sa kanila*
*Mav, just this night. Hayaan na muna natin. Ayaw nila sa relationship natin Mav. I tried to explain. But as usual di sila nakinig* *Just give me time. Kakausapin ko ulit sila, but not now. Pahupain na muna natin to* *I should have known that this would be hard and unacceptable sa kanila Mav. Let me do it first muna, for the meantime......................

*Pano tayo Abby.... * I find myself tearing up. I am sitting on my bed tightly grasping my sheets. Anong mangyayari satin? Kelangan ko lang ng assurance Abby so alam ko kelan ako lalaban.

*Abby, di naman tayo magbebreak right, Love?" Oh please Don't, sabihin mong hindi, Love
*............... *i heard her sniffing.
*Abby? Love? Andyan ka pa ba?*

*Alam ko naman, nabigla ka din and of course your parents. Promise, I'll talk to them if okay na Love, but please kapit muna tayo hah?* *Kasi Mahal na mahal kita. I would do everything you want me to kahit ano pa yan. Pero just first, hold on muna ah."
