Chapter 9

I was shocked and I could feel my eyes expressing that but I quickly covered it up.

"You guys must be so hungry! Please come on in and I'll fix y'all something quick to eat!" The woman squeaked out in a voice that could make people deaf. As we followed her into the house we took note of the surroundings and how everything was placed and the details. As soon as we stepped through the door I smelled food.

When I looked around for it, I found it sitting at a long dark oak table near the kitchen. There was pasta, salad, garlic bread, breadsticks, pizza, and sparkling water. It all looked so good!

"Please sit down and we can start. I know it's a lot but I'm testing out new recipes for my baking club and put in some 'special ingredients' that would hopefully make it taste better." She stated. We sat down around the table in brown cushioned chairs and sat up straight and tall.

"Firstly I would like to say thank you to yall for helping us out with this." The old man said while the woman poured the sparkling water into our glasses. The old man talked more and more and finally finished.
"... and with the end of that, Cheers!"We all clinked our glasses together and took a small sip. This water tasted different and not in the way sparkling water was supposed to.I became very tired and dizzy before black spots began to cloud and block out my vision. The last thing I remember before hitting the ground from fainting is seeing that woman smile.

When I woke up I was in this stall. It was the stall. Everything came back to me in an instant and I remembered everything that happened. I then realized I was in my horse form and ropes were around my neck and in the stall next to me was Nick who was also in his horse form. I heard voices through the walls and tried listening in but then they stopped and footsteps were heard walking closer and closer.

"Hello Shae and Nick, or as I should call you, Keeper and Ghost. I see that you've made some changes huh?"

He said mockingly.

"What do you want." Nick growled at him.

"Well if I am correct I remember last time we never got to finish what we started and seeing as how you brought friends with you, this will be fun." He then continued talking.

"We poisoned you in fact you two," He pointed at us, "Can't shift back into humans until the drug wears off, and Shae honey, we will get you pregnant with Nick's foal. Whether or not you two have to be drugged in the process.

And for your friends, we will interrogate them for information or they will die. If we get useful information, their lives may or may not be saved." He finished saying and then laughed in a creepy way.

"Well then let's get started shall we? Khal get the humans and witches. Sydney help me with these two." The lady Sydney, was that one woman who captured and poisoned me before.I was too busy thinking to realize something being stabbed into my neck. I suddenly felt very drowsy and helpless as I was being lead into a small pen. I gave up and just was trying to be prepared for what was to come.

We were bred that day and in our stalls, Nick/Ghost kept apologizing a million times and I just simply told him that it wasn't his fault. We were told that all of our friends were dead due to no information was giving. It really was a shame, they were so loyal and I wouldn't want them to give up their lives protecting me.There's not much to do now except to wait and see what happens.
