After a very long, hard day of ferrying baskets full of apples, Bobbie is sitting at her favourite table at her local tavern, the green dragon. Hobbits around her are laughing, singing, and showing off their summer harvests. A few of the elders are sitting in the far corners muttering to themselves smoking their pipes. Mr. Glenn was with them, no doubt gossiping about some poor hobbit that he caught wind of.

"You're filthy." Comes the voice of her best friend and cousin; Marigold Took as she sits across from the younger Baggins and slides her a tankard of ale. She was older than Bobbie by about 5 years, but they still managed to stay close friends from when they were children, they were family after all. She was a pretty hobbit, with long brown curly hair and hazel eyes that seem to light up whenever mischief was involved. She was slightly taller than Bobbie and had plump lips and a larger nose then her cousin. Bobbie thought she was one of the best hobbits out there. Always joking, misbehaviour followed her. But she was strong willed, and loyal to a fault. If she liked you that is.

"You sound like my brother." Bobbie huffs out as she takes a sip of the delectable drink. It tastes like pears and honey and feels like a warm fireplace as it slides down her throat, making her belly feel warm.

"oh don't say that, he's such a fuss pot, anyone would think he had a sliver spoon up his ass." Marigold puffs as she takes a sip of her own tankard and leans her elbows onto the table to get more comfortable in her seat. "he's definitely a Baggins, I'll give him that. Its strange how you two are siblings, you seem nothing alike."

"Hey, he's still my brother, and your cousin. I love him dearly and wouldn't be without him. Even if he can be a thorn in my side sometimes." Bobbie does agree with her cousin to some extent. The two siblings couldn't be anymore different.

"Yes, I know that. But even as children you and I were always climbing the old oak trees and racing into the woods to find fireflies and faries. But your brother never wanted to get his toes too dirty. You got all the Took, all the good bit, that's what I say. It's probably why we are such good friends." Marigold smirks at Bobbie.

"Very modest of you Mari." Bobbie mumbles back. "I don't understand how he does it, I would go mad if I lived like him. He's a home boy and I dream of bigger things. There is so much world outside of this little village. There are mountains and rivers. The skies seem higher, the wind fresher. I mean we've investigated so many places of middle earth together and I can't help but feel drawn to them. Do you know what I mean?" Bobbie finishes her rant and looks to her cousin for confirmation that she isn't crazy. That other people think of these things as well.

"Not really." Mari speaks plainly and Bobbie lets out a puff. "I agree that there is something more out there in the world across the borders. But not many people are like you in this town. They dream of getting the best pumpkin in the harvest. Not fighting orcs and finding forbidden lands. I agree that it is fascinating, but you must remember, that there is no bad thing in celebrating a simple life." Marigold tries to comfort her friend's frustrations with a smile and a squeeze to her hand.
