Chapter 3

Luka pov:

I walk into Spanish, my second to last class of the day and I see him, I see Jasper. I walk up to my teacher and give them my slip for class. "Thank you, Luka," says the teacher.

"I'm Miss. Goff, and this is your Spanish class," the teacher, Miss. Goff says. "¿Puedo preguntar por qué querías aprender español?" Miss. Goff asks. (Translation: May I ask why you wanted to learn Spanish?)

I reply with, "Sé italiano porque soy italiano y pensé que el español sería bueno para mí." (Translation: I know Italian because I am Italian and I thought that Spanish would be good for me) "Oh really?" Miss. Goff says, switching back to english.

"I could say a sentence in Italian if you want," I say. "Say your name and one thing about you in Italian," Miss. Goff says. "Ciao, mi chiamo Luka Swan e sono nata in Italia," I say. (Translation: Hi, my name is Luka Swan and I was born in Italy)

"Buena Buena," Miss. Goff says before adding, "Siéntate al Lado de Jasper, Luka." (Translation: Good, Good. Sit next to Jasper, Luka) I walk over to Jasper's table and I sit down.

"Hi," says Jasper in the most beautiful voice I ever heard. "H-hello," I say. Why is he so hot?! "I'm Jasper, you must be Luka?" Jasper says.

"I am," I say, smiling at Jasper. He smiles back. "I like your eyes," I say. "Huh...?" says Jasper. I blush before saying, "your eyes are a honey topaz color."

Why did I say that? He's gonna think I'm weird. "Thank you...you really think that?" Jasper asks. "Yes! I like pretty things," I say.

I just called Jasper pretty!! "Uhm I mean," I say. "It's fine, I knew what you meant," he says, poking my nose. I giggle. "Your laugh is adorable," he says and I blush.

"My family was wondering if we could have your number," Jasper Asks. "Sure. You can put their numbers in and I could put mine in your phone," I say, handing him my phone, smiling.

I walked from my last class of the day, which was History. Jasper would have walked me to Isa's truck but his sister, Alice, needed him.

I walked to the office so that I could turn in my slip and see Isa. I walked into the office and I saw Edward. He was changing his class?

Isa came in and was about to turn around when she saw me. Edward was arguing with Mrs. Cope about something.

Isa looked mad about something. Was Edward changing his class? The door opened and cold air blew in, I shivered and missed the glare he gave Isa.

Edward rushed out of the room. "Do I smell bad," Isa asks me. I sniff her before saying, "You smell like strawberries." "I don't think Edward likes me, he looked like I smelt when I came in front of the fan in Biology," Isa says, upset.

Is he sick? "Isa you know when I'm sick and I seem fine until a certain smell triggers it," I say, and Isa nods. "I think the smell of strawberries triggered it and that made him upset," I say.

"How did your first day go, dears?" Mrs. Cope asks. "Fine," Isa says, her voice weak. Mrs. Cope didn't look convinced.

Isa was making dinner and I was sitting in the kitchen doing my homework when dad got home. I was listening to music so I didn't know he was home until he ruffled my hair.

"Hi flower, what are you doing?" dad says. "My homework, I'm almost done," I say.

"Dad, how was work?" Isa asks, setting down our dinner, it was taquitos, yum. "Good good," says dad, taking one of my taquitos. "I- did he just?" I say, surprised.
