For lunch Emily was going to a cafe nearby with JJ today. Most of the morning they didn't get the time to talk since it looked like the team except Emily would go on a case soon, they were just waiting for the final call. So the two colleagues had decided to go out for lunch so they could talk about what was bothering the brunette, since JJ had immediately noticed that there was something wrong.

"So the social worker will be visiting today?", JJ asked after they had ordered their food.

"Yeah, but to be honest, this isn't exactly what's worrying me. It's actually more the fact that I had thought it was going great with Amelia and I was actually wondering about how she was so open from the start but with everyday longer she's with me she draws back more and I don't know what the reason could be.", Emily explained desperate.

"Hmm yeah you're right, that is kinda weird but okay let's just rewind the last week. She was flying with us with the jet and then on her first day she had to come in with you into the office since there was this anthrax thing right?", the blonde made sure she had the correct timing and got a short nod from Emily. "Okay so what did you do when you got back home?", she wanted to know.

"Uhm I went to sleep, since I was awake the whole time. When I woke up I found her in my office looking at the pictures in there and that gave us a topic to talk about since she wanted to hear more about my childhood, and all the different countries I have lived in.", Prentiss memorized.

"And the rest of the week? What happened there?", JJ asked.

"Uhm we spent some time watching the Harry Potter movies, we had the appointment at her school and on the weekend she went out with you all to see D.C. and on Sunday Garcia and I went to the mall with her.", Emily told her everything she could think of.

"Alright so I notice a pattern here I think.", JJ chuckled a little

"What pattern?", Emily asked after a waitress had brought their food and they had thanked her quickly.

"So last week most of time was spent with the team and not just the two of you alone. And to be honest I kinda get it, new situations especially ones like these are easier to handle for teenagers if there are more people. I think maybe one reason for her drawing back now is also that she was so open to you at the start and now after the incidents two days ago she is embarrassed.", JJ explained her thoughts to the worried agent.

"That actually makes a lot of sense.", Prentiss mumbled. "But what am I supposed to do then?", she asked with a confused look on her face.

"I would suggest that you do nothing different, give Amelia her space but make it clear that she can come to you if something is wrong. Just show her that you are there no matter what and it's her decision what she feels most comfortable with. If she likes spending time with the team maybe we could all help you on the weekend when the furniture arrives? I mean the walls need to be painted and what I heard from Garcia it's also a lot of furniture, at least for two persons. So if we are not on a case then we could come over. Maybe for the start it's better to spend time with Amelia rather in a group than alone.", the blonde suggested.

"JJ you are a genius.", the brunette exclaimed relieved. "I am going to ask Amelia if she'd like that but I would bet that she won't say no, so mark your calendars.", she chuckled.

"Yeah let's hope that if we really have to fly to Alabama today, we will back until the weekend.", JJ sighed.

"Looks like you just have to solve it really fast.", Emily joked.

"You know these are the moments were I hate the job.", the blonde sighed.

"I know JJ, I know...", Prentiss replied with the same look of sadness on her face as JJ.
