Chapter 26

Bella's pov

I spin around as tears fill my eyes. I turn and look at the entrance of the old steel mill. I gasp as my brother comes out and walks towards me. "Do you remember what you did Bella?" Billy questions me as he stands in front of me. "Or have you already forgotten?" He asks. "Billy please." I say as tears stream down my face. "It's your fault I'm dead Bella." He says as I sob. "Don't be afraid, it'll all be over soon." Billy says as he caresses my cheek. "Billy." I say through sobs as I grab his hand. "I'm sorry." He says as he pushes me to the ground.

I land on the cold ground and quickly look up to see the familiar sight of Vecna's mind layer. I look to my right and see the grandfather clock as it chimes. "I see you've been looking for me Isabella." The voice of Vecna says. "You were so close, so close to the truth." He says. I gasp as I see the bodies of Fred and Chrissy again and the new body of Patrick.

I look at the door of the Creel house and I gasp as the scenery around me changes. Light streams through the stain glass window on the door and the walls of the Creel house appear around me. A man, woman, and a little girl and boy walk through the door. "What did I tell you?" The man asks the woman. "Wow." The woman says as she admires the house. "This is amazing it looks like a fairytale, a dream." The little girl says in awe and then runs up the staircase. "Alice, no running." The woman lightly scolds. "It's so big." The little girl says in excitement.

I tear my eyes away from the little girl and look back at the man and woman. "This is nice." The man says as he looks at the woman. "Yeah." The woman says with a content sigh. I look over at the little boy who has his head hung low. I give him a look of sympathy and he walks away. I follow him and I see a flickering light in a room. I look through the door and watch as the little boy opens a vent. He picks something up and I gasp as I see a Black Widow in his hand.

I spin around as something runs past me. I watch as the little boy runs into another room. I follow him into the attic and watch him as he looks through jars full of Black Widow spiders. I walk closer to him and watch as he sketches one of the Black Widows. I walk out of the attic as the boy leaves. I walk down the stairs and I see the boy again. I watch as he goes up to the grandfather clock and stands in front of it. He closes his eyes and the clock chimes. I look at it and the hands of the clock start to rewind.

I quickly turn around as I hear an animal squeal. I see that I'm outside now and I look around to see a rabbit tied to a stick as it struggles to get free. The boy comes up to it and kneels down behind it. He extends his arm and the rabbit's limbs start to break as it squeals in pain. I gasp and quickly run back inside the house to rid myself of the awful scene. I look beside me as I hear a child scream. I gasp as I see a flaming cradle in the fire place as a baby screams in pain.

I quickly look away and move into the dining room as I hear music playing. I watch as the family eats dinner. The radio station changes and the man gets up to fix it. The little boy looks at his mother and closes his eyes. The lights start to flicker and I gasp as the woman is lifted into the air by an unseen force. Her bones start to break and she then falls onto the table dead.

The man quickly picks up the little boy and girl and runs to the front door. I quickly follow them and as I get to the front door I see the little girl laying on the floor dead and the father standing at the front door with his head hung low as the boy stands behind him with his eyes closed. The boy falls to the floor and the father turns around. He runs to his son and cradles him in his lap and cries. The scene changes and a police officer pins the man against the wall and handcuffs him.

The scene changes again and I see the little boy strapped into a chair as a man gives him a tattoo on his wrist. "All done not so bad was it? See there's nothing to be afraid of is there Isabella?" The man asks me. I gasp as I see his glazed over eyes and recognize him as Dr. Brenner for a picture El showed me. "Why don't you take a seat." He says as his voice becomes corrupted with Vecna's voice. My eyes widen in fear and I quickly run out of the room. I gasp in horror as I see blood and dead bodies everywhere. I turn around and run down the hallway.

Steve's pov

"Bella just stay with me, stay with me okay." I say as I put my hands on Bella's face. "Bella baby stay with me, please stay with me." I say as I put my fourhead to hers. "Please Bells I can't loose you." I wisper to her as tears stream down my face.

Bella's pov

I see a boarded up door and I run to it. I pry off two of the boards and come close to getting a third one off but I freeze when I hear Vecna say my name. I turn around to see him slowly walking towards me from the end of the hallway. "What are you doing? It's not time for you to leave." He says and I gasp and go back to trying to pry off the boards from the door. "Now you've seen where I've been I would like very much to show you where I am going." Vecna says as I get the last board off the door. I quickly run through the door to see the room I was just in.

"Take a seat Isabella." Brenner says and the lights go out. I gasp as the lights come back on. I look down to see that I'm in the chair the boy was just in but instead of having normal restraints the vines of the upside down are wrapped around my arms and legs. I try to free myself but nothing works. I look up and gasp as I see Vecna on the other side of the room. He walks towards me as I continue to try and free myself from the vines. He stands over me and I stare at him. "I want you to tell Eleven, I want you to tell her everything you see." Vecna says as he lifts his clawed hand to my face.

I gasp as I see the Creel house being split in half by a gate. I see the gate in Eddie's trailer start to expand and tear his trailer in half. I see the grandfather clock as it chimes. I see the gate where Fred died start to expand and tear through the town and another chime from the clock. The gate at Lovers Lake expands as well and all the water is drained from the lake and thr clock chimes again. "Tell her everything." Vecna says menacingly. "NO!" I scream. I see the four gates tear through he town and come together to form one massive gate across Hawkins as the clock chimes a final time. "NO!" I scream as I see the bodies of the kids, Max, Corey, Robin, Eddie, Steve, and Billy. I see hundreds of monsters invading Hawkins as the town falls into chaos. "NO!" I scream a final time and I open my eyes to see Steve in front of me.

I fall backwards as tears stream down my cheeks. Steve catches me and gently pulls me into his lap on the ground. "Hey woah, woah, woah, woah, woah it's okay, it's okay Bells I'm right here. I'm right here." Steve says as he runs his fingers through my hair. "Steve." I wisper as I wrap my arms around him. "I'm here gorgeous, I'm here." Steve says as he wraps his arms around my waist. Steve kisses my fourhead as he continues to run his fingers through my hair while I cry.
