Reunited

Matty's POV

I sat down on the ledge of one of the Graves in the illusionist grave yard, I bit into one of the apples that the gravekeeper managed to find.

It's been 3 months since the collector took over the isles, and it's just been me and the gravekeeper at the grave yard, it hasn't been the best but it could be worse, I mean, I could be not alive.

I looked down at the apple I bit into, and I sighed, I miss my brother, I miss my parents, and most of all, I miss Augustus, but Noone has seen him in over 3 months.

I was knocked out of my thoughts when I heard rustling leaves, I grabbed my palisman and aimed it at where the sound came from, but I quickly put it down when the Graveskeeper walked out of the bush with more food.

"Good job keeping alert, ya never know what might come out of a bush," the graveskeeper said

He rubbed the top of my head and put the basket full of food on the ground near the other food

"Nothing to report, No survivors have come, no monsters have attacked," I told the gravekeeper

"That's good to hear, Mattholomule, but you never know when one of those may appear, so remember to always remain cautious, now go get some rest, I'll guard for tonight" the graveskeeper told me

I nodded and walked over to the part of the graveyard that I claimed as my space. It has some cool weapons and a hammock for me to sleep on.

I put my Palisman in its bed and sat down on my hammock, I looked up at the starry sky, and I sighed, I wish Augustus could see these stars.

I laid down in my hammock, and I kept looking at the stars, but eventually, I closed my eyes. However, I didn't fall asleep.

~Timeskip~

I sat up when I heard rustling again, I grabbed one of the weapons from the corner, I don't want to wake my palisman up, I walked over to where the noise came from and I jumped through the bush, swinging the weapon like crazy but I was then tackled to the ground

I tried to get whatever tackled me off of me, but they had restrained my arms

"Who are you? Do you work for belos?" The person asked, it would like a grown woman

"Wait! Wait! Wait! He's not dangerous, it's just Matty!" I heard a familiar voice tell the woman

I opened my eyes and saw Augustus standing in front of me, and the woman let go of me

"Are you okay?" Augustus asked me, I rubbed my eyes. This must be a dream, but he was still there when I opened my eyes again.

I teared up and laughed out of joy, I hugged Augustus tightly! He's alive! He's alive! He's alive!

"I missed you too, matty," Augustus told me as he hugged me back

When the hug broke, he put his hands on my cheeks and rubbed my tears away,

I looked around at the other people in Augustus group, Which consisted of the golden guard, the plant girl, the human, the youngest blight, and another human, she must be the woman who tackled me earlier.

I grabbed Augustus's hand and lead him and his friends into the grave yard,

"Graveskeeper! We have new survivors" I called out to the Graveskeeper, he ran over and into the area

"Young illusionist" The graveskeeper said before hugging augustus, Augustus hugged them back

I smiled watching the interaction, when they stopped hugging, The graveskeeper lead everyone over to the food section.

~Timeskip~

I was laying on the ground, trying to get some sleep, im allowing Augustus to sleep in my hammock tonight.

While I was trying to sleep, I felt a finger tap my shoulder, I turned over and saw Augustus with his hand out to me,

I grabbed his hand and he pulled me up from the ground, he lead me away from where everyone was sleeping, to a small secluded area

"Is everything alright augustus? I know its kinda weird sleeping in a hammock but hey, ya get used to it" I asked augustus

"Its not the hammock matty, i just want to do something i wish i did the second i saw your face again" Augustus said

He put his hands around my waist and he pulled me close to him, i wrapped my arms around his neck, and he leaned down and kissed me right on the lips, i was kinda surprised but not that surprised.

I kissed him back, and after about 20 seconds, the kiss broke

"I know this is sudden but can you sleep with me tonight in the hammock?" Augustus asked me.

I smiled and nodded before he took my hand and pulled me back over to the sleeping area.

He laid down in the hammock and i laid on top of his chest, he wrapped his arms around me and both of us fell asleep in eachothers arms
