She became my heaven
When she turned my grief
Into a halo, into a rainbow.
She snowed on my sad eyes
To show me the light
Of this life.
She became my poetry
When the Lord, during the night,
Metamorphosed her into a butterfly,
When God changed her into my seraph.
Now we are dancing in the sky
With the stars;
Now we are the stars,
Making the darkness the Christmas time.
