The next day, I'm heading to my office when I notice I'm being followed by a car.

Jang Hanseok. Is it you?

I do a sharp swerve to the right and the car follows mine.

"What? Am I really being followed?" I wonder out loud and hit the pedal

I manage to lose the car and drive to my office

~At YC Law~

I walk in and tell my assistant to look into the car that was following me

I memorised the licence plate so I give her the number and she hurries off to look into it.

~in my office~

I walk in and see Logan sitting at my desk

I stop and stare, shocked to see him

My assistant runs in and breathlessly says,

"Mr Lee is waiting in your office!"

I chuckle and cross my arms

"I can see, Miso."

(Kim Miso. See what I did there? ;) I couldn't help myself lmao)

She rushes back out and I turn to Logan

"To what do I owe the pleasure of seeing you, Mr Lee?" I ask and he chuckles

"I just thought I'd check in on you after yesterday."

I sigh and look over at him

"What do you think I am, a kid? I'm fine." I sass him and he laughs

"Sure. I thought you probably would be fine, but still wanted to check in."

I sigh and my eyebrows furrow and my lips pout slightly

"Sorry for making you worry. I'm sure you're already so busy without having to do this."

He raises an eyebrow and scoffs

"You think making sure you're ok and safe is some kind of chore?" His voice goes slightly deeper and his eyes turn fiery

"Just because I know how busy you already are." I explain, trying not let my voice falter or crack under his intense gaze

"Hong Nayoung. Your safety is never a chore." His deep, commanding voice sends shivers down my spine

I clear my throat awkwardly and he strides over to me before gently grabbing my chin, contrasting his powerful strides

"Never think you're a burden to me, or anything along those lines. In the time that I've known you, you've come to mean a lot to me."

My heart flutters at that and my breathing gets a little heavier

Just then we're interrupted by the door opening and footsteps coming in

"Miss Hong. Mr Cassano is here to see you." Miso announces

I sigh and nod

"Let him in."

Miso nods before hurrying out and a few seconds later, Vincenzo walks in and stops to stare at Logan.

"Who...is he?" Vincenzo asks me, sparing a glance at Logan

"Ah. Let me introduce you two. Vincenzo, this is Logan Lee who is a good friend of mine from the US."

Vincenzo nods and holds out a hand for Logan to shake.
