Chapter 7

Cale watches as beacrox- who's holding the cat children gets inside their Henituse mansion in the capital.

So they're here...

Cale looks around and sees Roksoo with the Crown Prince, but before Roksoo notices him. He turns his head away and watches beacrox while taking care of the kids.

He always has a soft spot for kids, Cale thought and looked at beacrox who was glaring at Hans when he gave the kittens to him.

He probably gonna stay here for a while... Cale thought looking at Hans who looked like ready to die when he touched Hong's fur.

Just why.

Roksoo screamed in his heart while looking at the protagonist team in front of the long table.

He didn't think that the sly crown prince would bring him here in the hero's team.

Much less in the henituse mansion in the capital.

Looking at the gloomy Cale sitting in the corner, away from everyone. roksoo couldn't help but frown in worry.

He already notices that the young master basen couldn't see the man since Cale is been following him before lunch

'Thank god raon is accompanying him' he sighed as he looked at Cale Bossom where the little dragon lies.

"So this is Mr. Kim roksoo, everyone. He saved us from the bombing attack too, a great hero indeed like everyone here" Alberu started making Choi Han flinch and look at Roksoo, Roksoo almost choked but held it.

How he could forget? Whyyy!

Now Choi Han knows he's not from here. He was so distracted by that golden plague that he didn't bother to make an alias.

"Where are you from?" Choi Han said his eyes looking hopeful

I would definitely not going to reveal my identity for now.

"I'm from the Western country.. when my parents died I decided to move here" roksoo simply said with a smile then continued to eat.

He would just finish this food, then go into his room so he could talk with Cale.

Roksoo thought and side-eyed the corner where Cale was sitting. He looks like an abandoned puppy there.

Roksoo decides that the side-eyed he's getting at the crowned prince, Choi Han, and maybe that scary butler too is not that hard and tries to compose himself like he's not inhaling the food just so he can get the fuck out of here as fast as possible he let Cale's judging eyes past him too since the look in the redhead's face is screaming shameless at him

After excusing- escaping at the table roksoo immediately asks for his room Hans who's still starstruck by the cats leads him too

Hong and on didn't follow him inside since they would be suspicious if the cat knew him

Cale who's following him only gives the cats a worried glance before getting inside the room with roksoo

"Raon make a noise-canceling spell "Roksoo suggests

"Already done weak human! "

"Good"

Roksoo pat the little dragon's head and looks at Cale who's still sitting on the floor with a dark face

[They take Hong and on... I can't leave them here] Cale try to explain but roksoo already knew it

Roksoo lay in his first soft bed for years and sighed. Content.

"Your brother can't see you? " roksoo asked, slowly to not make the redhead upset

Cale just nods and buries his face in his hands [he looks tired... More tired than before...

... It's my fault]

Roksoo look at the ceiling of his room, the bed doesn't feel comfortable anymore

"You know that he looks like that because he's worried about you right?"

[I know... And he shouldn't... I'm trash... I did nothing but shame our family and the county]

Raon retreats outside the moment he feels the two start talking about their problem to give them privacy

"You shouldn't feel that way"

[Then what should I feel then?! You tell me since you're so smart, aren't you?! ] Cale snap and stand up

"You know I didn't mean it like that.. " roksoo sighed and sat up on the bed.

[No, but- but you don't have the right to tell me what I should feel! You know nothing roksoo! I-I-I did a lot of things- I can't even remember some of it- ugh! You know what forget it ] Cale shouted and stormed out of the room

"Where are you going? "

[None of your business. ]

None of my business huh... Then why do you look like you want me to talk to you then?

Roksoo covers his face with a pillow and lets his body fall into bed. Feeling the soft silky cover didn't subdue his irritation

He didn't even know, why he was irritated in the first place.

Cale stomps his feet on the ground, he knows he should take his anger out of that man but he can't help it, he's not a good person, to begin with...

Cale sat on the terrace of Roksoo's room and just watched the night, he wasn't cold anyway, he couldn't feel the temperature.

He wished he could just travel to their kingdom without worrying about his family..

The guilt is always suffocating him.

He almost wishes he wouldn't see them again just to forget that feeling..

But he can't help but yearn to know if they're okay.. Or if they're safe...

Cale gritted his teeth and buried his face on his knees

A rustling sound came beside him, he didn't look up to know who it was

"... I'm sorry, "

[What are you spouting? ]

"Well, I feel like I should apologize to you. It's not my place to tell you what to feel you know, that's kinda shitty of me" Roksoo sit beside him and look at the sky too,

Cale glances at him, [... You didn't need to... I was just getting emotional after seeing my brother.. ]

"You know what Cale, I actually find you interesting. "

[What do you mean? ]

"I mean, I heard some rumors about you, some bad rumors. But knowing you first hand, I could already conclude it was all an act. " actually he already knows it because of the book. But, even without reading the book, people like Cale are easy to crack

Cale closes his eyes, he wishes someone had seen through his act before... He wished for someone to talk him out of it too. But he guessed he might put too much work into acting, that everyone was fooled. [... Tsk, you don't need to brag about your smarts roksoo, ]

"I'm not bragging though, I know On and Hong could say the same thing"

Roksoo chuckles when he notices, Cales' ears turned bright red.
