The smell of chicken and mushrooms cooking over a fire enters my nose, as I slowly regain consciousness. I sit up in a rush, what the hell happened? A stabbing pain in my head makes me lie back down. Ow, ow, ow, ow... My hand reaches for my head by itself. I feel a warm liquid on my hand. I pull my hand away to examine it. Blood. I sit up again and I feel all the blood rush from my head.

"Arhh," I grunt. I can feel a hot liquid run down my face. My head darts around, where's the archon statue? Wait I am not even in the same place. How did I get here? A rustling in the busses on my right, startles me. I watch attentively waiting for something to jump out.

"Oh good, you're awake," a voice says from the bushes. Wait...? Don't I know that voice? A small blond figure wakes through the bush.

"My name is Aether. I found you passed out near Starfell Lake. You hit your head on a rock, or at least that what seemed to have happened."

"Ohh, thank you." I stutter.

"What's your name?"

"Right, sorry, my name is Y/N."

I sit there silently, staring at the delicious chicken skewers he holds in his hands.

"Would you like some?" he asks.

"Yes please!" I say with excitement. My mouth was drooling from not having a proper meal in what felt like several days.

"I have patched you up a bit, but I am not a healer so it would be better take you to Mondstadt to get proper treatment."

Mondstadt? Has he been there yet? How far in the story are we? I get lost in thought.

He was staring at me, obviously wanting something. "hmm?" I ask. "Oh, right, haha... Yeah I would love to go see Mondstadt... And go get healed obviously."

I finish my skewer, it was the best thing I have had in my life, much better then what ever my mum cooks.

"It is probably time to change your bandages." He said offering me some cloth.

"It's ok," I say shaking my head. "I don't want to be any more of a burden then I already am."

I take off my hoody, revealing a long sleeve top underneath. My mum will kill me for this. I rip off the right sleeve of my t-shirt. Putting it to one side, I returned to the warmth of my hoody. I began to remove the blood stained cloth covering my wound. The second the pressure lifted from my wound, more blood trickled down my face. I quickly replace it with my shirtsleeve. Aether's staring at me with intent to help. I tie the knot strong and fast. And bring my newly stained hands to rest on the grass.

"If you don't mind me asking, if you not from Mondstadt, then where do you come from? Your clothes don't fit Liyue's attire. So are you an adventurer?" He questions, handing me another chicken skewer.

I am stumped. What do I say? I mean I know he is an outlander but.. I can't just say I am from a world where I know your every move and what is to come. What do I do? What do I do? What do I do?

The silence is filling the area around us, making it awkward. I bite down into a chicken to make it look like I can't answer, giving me more time to think.

"I'm a traveller." I blurt out with my mouth still full of chicken.

"Oh cool, I am one too." He says as he bites down into his. "How about we go to Mondstadt after we finish breakfast? If you're up to it I mean?"

"Sure!" I say with excitement. I wonder what other yummy foods I will get to try. Paimon appears from behind a bush. "Aether! Why did you leave Paimon behind!" She stares at Aether angrily. Before he answers, Paimon turns to me. "Who are you?" She asks still annoyed.
