He slowly opened his eyes , darkness welcomed him. There was a faint unfamiliar scent of fire, medicine , drugs and blood.

Am I alive

He tilted his head to side to see his wife anywhere. Because whenever he is injured she would always heal him but this time there is no sound ,the only light and sound is the  flickering candle on the stone table beside him, he was all alone.

He tried to sit up by placing his right hand on the bed. The bed seems hard as if made of stone odd. There was  tiredness in his body as if he is on fever. His back is sore too Ignoring it he sat up and watched around the dark room . He notices the way his black mane was no longer covering his left eye instead it  brushes his cheeks . Again odd. His vision was blurry as if taking time to adjust. The room was familiar and yet distant at the same time . He stood up but his legs are heavy . But still , forcing himself more he tried to walk in the brink of consciousness . After walking a two steps with difficulty , his legs gave off and he tried to balance himself on the wall.

While balancing himself on the wall towards his left he saw no he felt something that left him shocked

My left arm

Prosthetic?

He brings the arm closer and he flexes his fingers on the hand he lost over 15 yeas at the end of the war because of his stupidity.

He activates his sharingan and looks through his hand . It is just like his right with blood ,bones ,muscles .

It's real

His chest is rising and falling at a alarming rate. He is having a panic attack.  He opened his eyes wide, gasping, placing his right hand over his shirt which was showing off his skin clenching the area near his heart,  breathing heavily

He knows what to do during a panic attack but since sakura accompanied him his panic attacks were reduced . Whenever he would get an attack his wife would embrace him with her soft body saying soothing words about herself, sarada and promises not leaving him. Now where is she when he needed her.

Trying to control his breath,  he let's out long and deep exhales. When he tried to find the strength he first walked towards the door , slowly increasing the pace he got out of the room and ran towards the exit according to his blurring memories.  He sped off the lair and saw a dense forest that was supposed to be destroyed in the attack

He just jumped tree to tree observing the surroundings, his heart pounding wildly as he is trying to make any logical reason what is happening to him

A dream. A genjutsu

But I  cannot find any changes in chakra around me

For God's sake who tries to put a uchiha with the strongest eyes in a genjutsu

His head hurts for a second and he slips off the branch of the tree, but still landing gracefully on the forest grass.

It has to be a dream ... a nightmare , fall of konoha, deaths, all is a terrible nightmare.  I just want to wake up and see sarada and sakura. See their smiles, Spend time with them

Protect them

But as he was running on the grass he heard a water fall. Changing his direction in an instant he headed towards the fall. After a few minutes he stopped near the fall. The fall was very big maybe a 15 meter high. The water falls gracefully , splashing the water down the stream.

He carefully went near the waterfall and tried to see his reflection in water. He hoped he would see his 33 year old self with a prosthetic or a surgery. 

What he saw in water made him shock. And he is again starting to breath heavily

He saw himself wearing his long sleeve white shirt which is open in front with a dark blue pants and a purple cloth covering his stomach to his knees tied with a purple rope belt. He is wearing arm guards which covers his forearms. Which he didn't wear in nearly two decades

His face shocked him the most

His hair is parted in middle and his hair brushes either sides of his cheeks ,the hair on the back of his head was spiked backwards

His right eye has three tomoe sharingan which he activated a while ago

His left eye is purple with rings and tomoes in middle , his rinnegan

Somehow he ,a 33 year old Uchiha Sasuke is in his 16 year old body .

And there is only one logical reason how he ended up like this.
