I sighed and put my phone back in my pocket as the front door was unlocked and the warm smell of air infusers was the first thing I smelt as I walked into her house. It felt warm and homely. Kinda different to what I was initially expecting being at your teacher's home, but it was nice, and I think the others could feel that as well.

HONEY'S POV

I was the last person to get inside to the warmth of the automatic electric fire. Something you wouldn't expect to see in an old farmhouse, but the interior was actually much nicer than you'd expect looking at the outside.

"Make yourselves at home girls," Miss Lilac said to us, gasping as she realised
"And boy!" we all chuckled at her mistake as we knew how much Kai hated being called a girl just because he only hung out with them.

We all followed each other around the house as we took in all our surroundings, exploring the new area which was something common for us to do when we felt the need.

"How about you girls, and boy, come out to the garage and help me grab some mattresses you can sleep on..?" Miss Lilac called to us from the kitchen as we were all halfway down her hallway, just passing the bathroom to the end room which I assumed would be her bedroom. We all stopped in our tracks and turned around, walking back to the main area of the house, finding Miss Lilac already opening the back door to the outside garage, gesturing us to follow her for some help.

It was cold outside. The wind was always harsh out where it was just open fields, and I couldn't help but grab onto AJ as we made out way out to the garage which was about 20 steps away from the main house.

"Jesus, It's cold out here!" AJ spoke out loud

"It really is, can we hurry up please?" Athena spoke afterwards earning quick nods from everyone as we were all eager to get out of the cold wind and back inside where the warm fire was. Our hands and bodies were already shaking from the cold, it wouldn't be good to get sick now, especially when we don't know what's going on out there at the moment, in which we are cut off from the social world with all channels down and internet cut.
