one the first day of Christmas

"Snowflake, are you sure that we should go to snowfall village for Christmas? I could always decline the request if it seems fit."

Cocoa cookie looked up from her knitting and smiled warmly at her husband's tense expression. slowly she got up from her rocking chair, which was quite difficult due to her obvious condition. still, she walked up to mint choco cookie and gently placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry minty, I'll be fine. besides, I haven't seen mother and pudding cookie in quite a while, and I think Christmas would be the best time to see them. plus, your violin playing is the perfect act for the Christmas eve festival".

"I know, I'd love to see carol cookie and pudding, and playing the violin is my life." smiled mint choco cookie. as he placed a hand on cocoa cookies baby bump, however, his expression turned tense again. "But you are very close to your due date, and I'd hate for something to happen to you or our baby ".

"I'd like to see granny and auntie pudding" came a small voice. cocoa and mint choco cookie turned around to see their five-year-old son, mint brownie in his pajamas smiling eagerly. 

"Me too, me too" squeaked their three-year-old daughter, candy cane cookie who began tugging on her dad's arm and bouncing up and down excitedly. "Can we go daddy, please please, please?"

For a few minutes, mint choco cookie was quiet, but he soon broke into a smile.

"Guess I've been outvoted, sure let's go to lantern village for Christmas.

the two doughballs cheered and cocoa cookie smiled another warm smile as mint choco cookie scooped up their children and took them up to bed. as she followed them up and tucked the kids in, candy cane cookie asked "mummy, what's lantern village like".

"Well sweetie, every year on the night before Christmas, they decorate the large tree in the middle of the village with lanterns with wishes that they hope will be granted on Christmas day. an at the very top of the tree, they place a special golden star that is said to light the way for the children of frost".

"Mummy what else happens at Christmas in snowfall village?" mint brownie cookie asked sleepily as his sister drifted off to sleep. mint choco cookie smiled as his wife continued with her story. 

"Well, after the whole of snowfall village has put their lanterns on the trees, they have a festival from 5:00pm till 9:00pm where there's music, dancing, crafts, carolling, ice-skating, and lots of yummy food".

"isn't daddy going to play his violin at the festival?" mint brownie asked as he snuggled into his bed as cocoa cookie began to turn off the lights.

"Yes, I am, my little gentleman, but we have a long journey ahead of us so maybe you should go to bed" mint choco cookie smiled as mint brownie fell asleep. 

"goodnight"

as mint choco cookie closed the door, he began to worry about his wife again. cocoa cookie due date wasnt until next month but he was still worried that the baby might come early. after all, he had heard of that happening, but in the end, he decided to trust his wife. after all, he loved going to snowfall village as well and he was looking forward to playing the violin for the Christmas festival.

It was going to be a Christmas he'd never forget.
