"It hurts too much that
Words may not be enough to define the pain I'm feeling"
______________________________________Everyone was stilled at their positions witnessing the scene unfolding right before their eyes. The booming voice could be heard till the garden. Everybody was stunned to hear him shout so loud. Instantly they went inside the house and here they were standing.... surprised, shocked and what not.
Hareem looked at him and turned her head to notice her and Rohaan's proximity. She quickly backed away and walked to her husband who was fuming in anger. She meekly said
"Its nothing...like you're thinking. I spilled some drink...."
She was cut off by his angry voice
"You want me to believe that!". She flinched at his voice and then her Dada spoke sensing the tension
"Beta aram se beth kar bat karte ha"
(Beta let's calm down and talk)
Shaking his head he settled his angry orbs on the raging oceanic eyes that were busy throwing daggers at him. Pointing a finger at him he shouted at her face
"Is this why you were eager to attend this engagement?" Hareem shook her head frantically not understanding how to calm him down. She held his forearm and said
"Please don't shout. Let's go to my room and talk it out". Her voice held some kind of plead. Her eyes spoke that she was getting vulnerable and this was too much to take for her mother. She could make out the worry that was swirling on her mother's features. He released his arm with a force that she stumbled back. This was the last blow to Rohaan's temperament as he strode forward and said
"Listen to her at least. It's really nothing like you're thinking". He scoffed at him and shook his head.
"You don't need to give any explanations". Saying that he again held her arm and asked angrilly
"Care to explain?" She closed her eyes and bit back a sob. She was feeling humiliated. Before she could reach to get his tight grip off of her, Rohaan shoved him away from her. Sohail's temper reached his breaking point and he landed a punch at Rohaan's jaw. He staggered backward and gasps were heard inside the room. Hafsa was witnessing the scene from the staircase. Hareem's eyes widen and she was afraid of what could happen next. She didn't want any messy fights, so she again held her husband's arm and pleaded him
"Please calm down for God's sake". Her voice broke and Ebad spoke between the two
"You two should stop fighting and Rohaan back away". Rohaan still glared at him while Mirza Habib said
"Beta beth kar aram se bat karte ha. Yaqeenan koi Galat fehmi hogae ha"
(Beta we should sit down and talk. You must have been misunderstood)
Hareem nodded her head at her husband as he looked at her. He shook his head and muttered
"Koi galat fehmi nahi ha".
(It's not a misunderstanding)
Her heart broke at the thought that he was not believing her. She expected him to believe her. She quietly muttered to him
"Believe me. You are misunderstood". Right now she was crying. Tears were freely falling from her eyes trailing down her cheeks leaving stains behind. He didn't look any bit like her husband. He was a calm man. Although he was a little upset with her, but this was overboard. Why won't he believe her? Her mother and phupho were standing beside her. Irum said
"You both should go to your room and talk it out calmly". She was scared for her daughter. This was so much to take. She believes her daughter and her nephew to accept that they could be doing something else in their absence. As Rohaan saw the tears that ran down her face, he could hear his heart break. How much he wanted to punch this excuse of a man who can't even think about his wife's dignity and respect before putting false allegations at her. The way his accusing eyes pointed at her and the way she pleaded him to believe her was so heart wrenching. All he wanted was to put some brain in his skull so that he can see how much his wife was hurting during his hell of a misunderstanding. He wanted to break free and beat this man to a pulp for making her cry, but he can't do anything irrational. His every action is fatal for her relationship. He needed to be calm down. One wrong step and everything would be ruined beyond repair.
