"He was helping the other team." Currently most of the boys were in the locker room while Airi waited anxiously outside with Isagi. Kuon's reasoning did make sense, but it wasn't right. Not one bit.
Isagi gently placed a hand on Airi's shoulder, startling her for a second. She turned around to gaze up at him as he showed a soft smile in an attempt to calm the furious girl beside him.
"It's not right," she spoke, her icy white hues staring into his ocean colored eyes. A frown was apparent on her face.
"We still won though," Isagi reassured, "we proved that we didn't need him to win."
The girl stopped frowning and started thinking. That is true, but they were so close to losing due to Kuon's antics. She scored the last goal to, which gave her a warm, happy feeling. Isagi was right, Kuon may have messed with the team, but they prevailed.
"You're right." Airi stopped her frowning and relaxed her posture, plopping her body on the ground and leaning her head back against the wall while waiting on the Kuon's verdict.
The doors to the locker room opened and Bachira popped his head out, sending a wave towards the two of them as his body emerged from the doorway. "We don't exactly know what to do with Kuon," he started, "so that's up in the air." His stomach started growling after and he glanced down the hallway then back at the two, "do you guys want to go get lunch?"
Now thinking to it, Airi was getting a little hungry. She lifted herself off the floor humming a yes in response. She then extended her arm, letting Isagi grip onto her and pull himself up.
The trio started walking to the dining hall in silence. The three of them were exhausted from the game they previously played. Once they made in into the dining hall they quickly grabbed their meals and sat down at one of the tables.
Today Airi had fried rice, and it was super delicious. She quickly scarfed down her food. The fried rice making her feel better. She glanced over towards Isagi, who was sitting beside her, and he finally had something other than natto. Bachira on the other hand was sitting opposite from her and had Ramen.
"This is so good." She was happy about the food she had received. Thank you for whoever picked this for her.
All of a sudden she heard her name being shouted nearby from the halls. She looked over and glanced at the other brunette. She had a smile on her face as she yelled for Airi.
Airi's eyes widened and she looked at the two boys. "Who's that?" Isagi questioned as he watched Airi lift herself from the table.
"She's one of the managers," Airi responded, slowly making her way to Anri. "I'll be right back."
She ignored everyone's gaze as she walked over to the brunette, who quickly ushered her into the hallway. "What's up?"
"You did good today!" Anri told her, lightly bumping her shoulder, "you looked like today hasn't gone so well from what happened with Kuon," she started, "so you're brother and I thought of giving you a little encouragement."
"By you and my brother, you mean you right?" Airi laughed. She knew the brunette's antics too well at this point. She grew to think of Anri as an older sister, which she was thankful for.
"You caught me," she sheepishly responded, her face turning red for a split second before she shook her head. "Anyways, come to the room at six. We have something to discuss."
"We do?" Airi questioned, her curiosity spiking as she looked at the nervous brunette. Anri shook her head as in saying yes.
"We do!" With that she started walking off, leaving Airi with her thoughts on what the conversation later could be. Would it be about Kuon? Would it be about her place in Blue Lock? So many questions went through her mind, yet something felt off. She was nervous, anxious even, about what the conversation could be.
