WARNING: CONTAINS VIOLENCE
"I'm sorry." The words rushed out of Airi's mouth as she quickly tried to walk past the male, but to no avail, luck was not on her side today. The unknown boy stepped in her path, blocking her from getting away from him. Airi scrunched her eyebrows, her anxiety sky-rocketing through the roof along with frustration. "If you could excuse me."
She tried to walk past him again, but his hand harshly grabbed her shoulder, pulling her back to the front of the male. Airi quickly brought her hands out in front of herself, trying to make the blonde let go of her. "Let go!" She yelled, thrashing in his hold.
His tight grasp on her shoulder hurt, but she wasn't going down without a fight. The girl lifted up her right foot, sending a kick directly at the shin of her attacker. The male let out a grunt of pain, loosening his hold on her shoulder.
Airi took a step back, distancing herself from him. She turned on her heel and went to run, but the male crashed into her, tackling her onto the floor and making her bang her head on the floor.
She landed awkwardly on the cold, hard floor with her attacker holding her down. Tears were starting to spill from her eyes as she started realizing she was slowly losing the fight. She quickly trashed and headbutted her attacker in the forehead, knocking him off of her, giving her the chance to quickly scoot away with the little power she had left.
Maybe she could hold her own until someone realizes she's gone or hasn't returned, which was very unlikely. Maybe her brother was watching the camera's and was rushing to her aid right away. She shook her thoughts, right now she needed to win. Her ankle her from where she fell, and in the process of getting up she crashed back down at the floor.
Her gaze wandered back to her attacker, seeing a sharp, metallic object glint in his hand. Her blue hues widened, fear striking her completely. Was this it for her? She could die here. No, she shook those thoughts away. She wouldn't die here.
Her attacker walked towards her, a creepy smile on his face while he held the sharp knife of a blade. Airi kept scooting back as far as she could, her back hitting the hard, cold war behind her as she gazed up into the manical eyes of the male in front of her.
He bent down, thrusting the knife at her forehead, slicing her forehead open. She screamed in pain, more tears falling from her eyes.
Airi felt blood rush down her forehead. Her vision was getting blurry as she stared at the hunched over male above her. She threw a sloppy punch at him, trying to get up but failing.
She slid down to the ground, her body becoming heavier and heavier. "Why are you doing this?" Her attacker threw the knife behind him, far away from the two of them. His hazel eyes glaring directly into her soul as he crouched down.
"You're brother, right? He's the leader of this whole operation." Of course it was because of her brother, but how did he figure out who she was?
The male grinned, raising his leg again, sending a kick to her abdomen.
"Stop!" She cried out, groaning in pain as she took the blow to her stomach. She felt like shit. Her whole body was aching head to toe. Why were people this evil? To harm another person was cruel.
She looked at the man, who she could barely see. Tears were in her eyes. No one was going to be there for her. She was stupid for thinking things would be different from her past. Everyone is the same.
"I'm going to use you," The male started, "You're brother messed with the wrong people."
She sat there, taking hit after hit. She felt numb. Where was her brother? Where was everyone else?
Airi closed her eyes, waiting for another punch, but she didn't receive the hit. She opened one eye, glancing upwards and seeing a familiar male. "Don't you dare touch her."
"I-Isagi?" She heavily breathed out. Someone came for her. Someone realized. The tears that were gathered up in her eyes started running down her face. She wasn't alone.
Isagi glanced back, seeing the girl in pain and crying. His heart hurt for her. How could someone do something so evil to her? His eyes were full of anger as he glanced back at the male. Isagi pushed the guy away, making him distance himself from the girl he cared about.
Isagi stepped between the two, glaring at the male. Airi saw he was about to take a swing towards her attacker, but she quickly stood up, wrapping her arms around his waist. He didn't need to get involved. She didn't want him getting hurt.
"Don't," she whispered out, "please don't get involved." The girl was full on sobbing now.
Isagi stared at the girl. She was bleeding at the top of her head. Her normal pink hair with white streaks were stained with the blood. "Airi, he hurt you."
"It's not worth stooping to his level," she tried pulling the boy back with the little strength she had left. Her heart was beating in her chest. She felt woozy, but was struggling against it.
All of a sudden, loud noises were heard as multiple people swooped in on the scene, including her brother. Isagi stepped back, embracing the girl into his arms.
"You're safe now." Airi let the boy wrap his arms around her as she fell into his chest. She sobbed into him, clinging to him like he was her lifeline.
Her eyes felt heavy, though she finally felt safe. "Thank you," she mumbled out, pressing her face into his shoulder as she began to fade out of consciousness.
"Airi," she heard his voice lightly say, "you need to stay awake." But she didn't listen, sleep just felt too good.
