Hazel Queen left Starling City to start anew, to leave behind the heroics and the exhaustion and the heartache.
Unfortunately, her new start in Central City hasn't been nearly as peaceful as she'd hoped, what with the Particle Accelerator she'd pla...

Turns out, Wells' ability to be constantly right was as irritating as it was enviable.
Barry came back.
Hazel had been sitting at her desk in the Cortex, her fingers flying over her keyboard as she hacked into her brother's computer out of boredom, and also a need to annoy him (what, she was the middle child, it was practically her job to irritate Oliver.) when her shoulders had straightened, awareness spiking into her quickly, static electricity crackling along her skin.
"He's here, isn't he? He came back." Caitlin smiled lightly, noticing her friend's reaction.
When Cisco looked at them in confusion, the doctor explained, "Seems Haze can sense when Barry is near. Increased awareness is what she called it."
The boy grinned mischievously, and Haze groaned, shaking her head in warning, "No, do not start, okay? It's odd and weird and strange, but this is not some romantic fan fiction. It's not like, a soul-bond or whatever else is flowing through your mind. Probably just an extra sensitivity to the electrical charge in the air, which increases when he's near."
"You can science it all you want, Haze," Cisco drawled lightly, leaning on her desk and looking down at her smugly, "but I'm not gonna lie, I kind of ship Bazel."
"Bazel?"
"Yep, it's either that or Harry, which just sounds lame."
"Because Bazel sounds better?"
Caitlin hummed lightly, shrugging, "I'm more partial to Queen-Allen myself, it's got a nice ring to it."
"Fuck's sake, not you too." Hazel grumbled, smacking her head against her desk as Cisco nodded eagerly, and Cait grinned, "What? I've seen the looks exchanged. I'm not an idiot. It's only a matter of time."
Before the boy could answer, Hazel shivered, quieting them down as she whispered, "he's here, so maybe table the wattpad discussion for now, yeah?"
And sure enough, within seconds of her statement, the speedster walked in, cardboard boxes baring the CCPD logo in his hands, and demanded to speak to them.
Smirking at him, Haze leaned back in her seat, and waved her hands, "Stage's yours. Word of warning to the wise though, I'm exceedingly bored, and if what you have isn't interesting, I'm likely to fall asleep."
He rolled his eyes, though she spotted the small smirk playing on his lips, as well as the amusement that flowed into her system, and she grinned in return, happy to have somehow cut through his gloomy mood.
Barry spread his papers on the table, and they all gathered around him, eye smoking over the various graphs and charts and reports displayed as he stated, "I've been going over unsolved cases from the past nine months, and there's been a sharp increase in unexplained deaths and missing people." He glanced up at them, continuing, "Your meta-humans have been busy."
