Chapter Seven

Third Person POV

Y/N: "Goddammit I am so bored!  This has to be the work of the Boredom Devil because this has got to be the most obnoxious thing I have ever experienced in my in entire life!"

Himeno: "Y/N calm down, It's only been an hour."

Y/N did not in fact calm down and flipped the mattress Denji was sleeping on for no reason other then his entertainment.

Denji: "What the hell man?!"

Y/N: "Get up I need someone new to bother."

Denji: "Why?"

Y/N: "Well Aki is constantly looking for the devil without pause, Arai is lying down after he had a panic attack, and Himeno had to knock out Kobeni when she tried to drink toilet water. To top it all off Power is still being Power."

Power: "I'm going to win a Nobel Prize and become Prime Minister of Japan. To increase human suffering I will pass a 100% sales tax when I am in office."

Y/N: "Kidnapping and trying to kill Denji is one thing but I draw the line at taxes. How do you even plan of winning a Nobel Prize anyway? Your cat has a better chance of winning the Nobel Prize then you."

Power: "Then I will use Meowy's fame to ascend to my throne. But I'll make sure you don't pay taxes since your a fellow devil.

Y/N: "All hail Prime Minister Power then."

Himeno: "Y/N did you just reject your humanity just so you won't pay taxes?"

Y/N: "You wouldn't? Anyway, i'm going to keep an eye on Hirokazu and Kobeni. Let me know if something comes up."

Kobeni's POV

I start to come as I remembered how I got here in the first place. Oh no I just remembered I freaked out and tried to drink toilet water and Himeno had to stop me. Y/N was busy helping Hirokazu so maybe he won't know, I could bare to look at him if he knew this is so embarrassing.

I shift my eyes to see Y/N sitting on Hirokazu's bedside trying to calm him down. I still don't know how he can be so calm in a situation like this, trapped by a devil with no way out.

I watch him pat his subordinate on the shoulder and turned towards me letting our eyes lock on. I use to find his grey and red eyes scary but now their not so bad when I get a good look at them. Dispite their unnatural color they seem really kind.

Y/N: "You hanging in there Kobeni? Himeno told me you had a nasty panic attack."

Shit, he probably knows I tried to drink out of the toilet. I never thought I say this to myself but if that devil could come and kill me now that would be great.

Y/N: "If you want me to be honest I'm pretty worried myself but I've got faith the others will figure something out."

Kobeni: "You're worried?"

Y/N: "I'd be an idiot not to be but fear is a natural response to these kind of things. The trick is you need to find something that motivates you."

I thought hard about what motivated me. I said I was doing this to get my brother through college but that wasn't my choice. I want to help people but even that didn't feel like the right answer.

Kobeni: "I'm not sure, I feel like I have had people decide my future almost my whole life."

Y/N: "Well I think only you get to decide your future.  I'll tell you what, I have a feeling the devil is going to make its move soon so we can finish this conversation after that."

Kobeni: "What makes you so sure the devil is going to show itself?"

Y/N: "Devils usually don't kill in such a passive manner, it probably wants to shake us up a little more before making a move since it has the home field advantage."
