The following night, Dazai began downloading the Decay of Angel's music onto his phone. The first thing that he noticed was that there was only one singer in the band–much to his displeasure. Deep within his heart, he had been looking for the guitarist's voice but he was only in the backing vocals. However, there were quite a bunch of covers the guitarist sang on Youtube–Dazai even bought Youtube premium just so he could download those covers.

Upon his research, he found the names of each of the band members. The handsome, god-like guitarist was none other than Fyodor Dostoevsky. Dazai had spent an embarrassing amount of time watching videos and reading articles about Fyodor. He even stalked the man's Instagram page for hours on end. More often than not, Dazai fawned over how exquisitely handsome Fyodor was. The names of the other members were inevitably found. The long-haired individual is Sigma and the white-haired drummer–who looked mental in Dazai's opinion–is Nikolai Gogol. They were...cool but nowhere as fascinating as Fyodor.

On more than one occasion, Dazai went back to Vivid Street in hopes of getting even a little glimpse of Fyodor. He didn't want to admit it but Dazai may have fallen in love with an idol.

Months had passed since his encounter with the Decay of Angels. He was too broke to go to one of their concerts or to buy merch. For once in his life, Dazai hated having such a low-paying job. He almost wished he went to college like all his teachers had kept insisting on but he quickly threw that thought out; Dazai hated school with a passion. Although he didn't exactly have the ambition to achieve a higher education, he certainly had the intelligence. School bored him to death, there was no way in hell Dazai was going to willingly continue school if he didn't have to. Hence Dazai spent his nights stalking shelves while singing his heart out:

"Ooh~ Ooh~ Ooh~

Mind-mind games until you lose control,

Ooh~ Ooh~ Ooh~

Mind-mind games, mind games, mind games."

"Come on~ I am telling you, he is a wonderful singer. He is perfect to be our lead singer."

"...Oh, alright..."

"Let's go see this guy!!!"

Dazai pushed the cart with items that needed to be shelved to the next aisle; there was hardly anything left on the cart because he was quite a fast and diligent worker.

"Now that I'm in, there's no letting go,

And your emptiness begins,

Once I grip onto your mind and soul,

Your brightness starts to dim,

Sin after sin you won't feel no more,

And you've lost your trust again,

I know you wish you could let me know."

One by one, he stalked the shelves with items. One by one, his thoughts were disappearing; loud music in his ears truly was the perfect cure for his racing mind.

"I can lie to you and tell you you can get me out

your head,

But I'm lovin' all the pain I'm causing you too

much instead, baby."

With the last line being sung, his voice shattered. A single tear streamed down his face. More would have come if only he wasn't interrupted.
