When caught thy will be forced to fight a fallen boss to escape the realm. Thy really needs to pay attention around to dodge Shadows attacks. Thou does have random lightning attacks to trap but, thy only has to go outside of the floor circles. Sometimes when thy reveals the core all the lightning stops and with shooting bullets out of the surrounding area of the core. Thy might what to change forms, for damage and health back for getting hit. When thou's flattened, is the time for thy to hit the rune-wheels. Thy can use the empty spaces for dodging the bullets. Shoot when that happens for the purpose is to protect the core that reveals itself in the process. As thy drains health thou will use ice attacks to slow thy down for Shadow to do some damage. Air Raid might help thy the most. Thy will have to hit the rune-wheels while thou's attacking. Mostly long-range attacks. After the battle is done, Nightmare will fall back into the puddle of reflecting water. Now Dante can reach the true place where the staff belongs. Walk the path back to the trails, to return the staff into the growing surge behind the portal. With opening the two paintings portals back to special rooms.
