Chapter 19: Worse than Paper Cut

Kisha's POV

It was around lunch nang bumaba ako sa grundfloor ng building. I had a meal prepared for Allicer's lunch before leaving the offfice,  para wala itong masabi. Pagbukas ng elevator ay pinagtitinginan ng mga empleyado ang mga kaibigan kong kapapasok palang ng bulding.

They're like models all in sync walking from the entrance of the building. Halos slow motion na inalis ni Wayne ang suot na sunglasses at ipinatong sa ulo. Dahil lunch time ay maraming epleyado sa ground floor na nagsisilabasan upang maglunch. Ang ilan sa kanila ay natigilan sa paglalakad at manghang pinapanuod ang apat na maglakad patungong front desk.

Wendy at the frontdesk have her mouth open in awe as she watch the boys approach her. Hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman ko na may hitsura ang mga kaibigan ko. Sa katunayan ay sanay na akong lahat ng atensiyon ng mga tao ay nakatuon sa kanila sa tuwing magkakasama silang lima. Even when missing Grayson, they still have the same charisma around people.

This is one of those times where I just wanted to pretend I don't know them. Unlike them, I don't like getting attention. Naisip kong bumalik nalang ng elevator para sa IT deartment nalang sila i-meet pero huli na ang lahat ng makita ako ni Bryan. Siniko nito si Tim at tumango sa direksyon ko.

"Oh hey Kish!" Sigaw ni Tim at kumaway. Napatingin din sa direksyon ko si Wendy.

I sighed. Since it's too late to turn back now, naglakad nalang ako patungo sa frontdesk kung saan inaabot ni Wendy ang visitor's i.d ng mga ito, without taking her eyes off of their faces.

"Hey how was the party last night?" Tanong ni Rob na isinuot ang i.d nito.

"It was great and - I'll tell you guys more about it later." I don't want other employees to know I went to the Global CEO Conference with the boss.

Lumapit sa akin si Wendy at pasimpleng bumulong. "Who are these gorgeous hunks? Mind introducing me?"

"Yeah, introduce me." Segunda ni Wayne na narinig ang binulong ni Wendy. Looks like his cassanova mode has just been activated by seeing a pretty girl.

"Wendy, these are my friends from the Underflames Band. Rob, Tim, Bryan and Wayne. Guys this is Wendy."

Wayne leaned against the front desk. "Let me introduce myself properly, I'm Wayne Cooper and I play the guitar. Nice to meet you."

Napailing nalang kaming tatlo. Kahit kelan talaga ay walang pinapaglagpas ang lalaking ito. No wonder why Maya doesn't entertain Wayne even though they're in love with each other. Kung ganito ba naman kababaero ang lalaking gusto ko, I'll just pretend I don't have feelings.

"Here. You dropped this." Pinulot ni Tim ang ball pen na nahulog sa sahig at inabot dito.

"Thank you." Wendy took the pen while blushing. "Tim right? Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you too." Sagot ni Tim.

"What instrument do you play?

"Base guitar."

"Uh huh. That's cool." To me, Wendy looks like she just got smitten by Tim.

Rob and Bryan exchanged looks while Wayne backed away realizing Wendy is more interested with Tim.

"See you later, Wendy." Paalam ni Tim pagkatapos makuha ang number ni Wendy.

"Naks naman bro." Habang nasa loob ng elevator ay inakbayan ito ni Wayne. "You were smooth back there. Mukhang may natutunan ka din sa akin ha."

"I know. Isn't she adorable?" Tanong ni Tim na halos mapunit na ang bibig sa luwang ng ngiti.

All four of us looked at him in surprise. Tim is not that kind of guy that would start liking a girl at first meet. He is also very picky when dating girls.
