Finally home. There is no better feeling then being home, in my own room and my own bed. In all of my excitement to be home I still haven't told Leah yet. I want to surprise her and I have been thinking of ways to do it since Curtis told me about my release date two weeks ago.

But other than that I have been planning out my room remodel. The pink walls and all of the posters have to go. I'm getting tired of looking at them. I grabbed my phone, which I finally got back yesterday, and turned on some music before getting out of bed.

It's still a bit early but I don't care. I put my phone on shuffle and Remedy by State Champs came through the speakers. I didn't put it too loud because I'm sure moms are still sleeping. I jumped off my bed and went over to a poster of a kitten and ripped that one clean off the wall.

After the first one hit the floor I ran around my room and ripped off the rest. I kind of felt like I'm shedding my old skin to make way for the new one. Once everything was off the wall I grabbed my garbage can and started to clean up.

Once I was done I took a look around the room and surveyed everything. Robbers by the 1975 came on and I sighed, loving the sound of Matt Healys' voice flooding the room.

"Looks like you got an early start." I turned around and found Kristin standing in the door way in her sweatpants and a t-shirt.

"Yea I just want to start over. Can we go to the hardware store and get some paint?" I asked her.

"In a little bit. Have you told Leah that you're back yet?" She asked.

"No, not yet. I have a plan to surprise her." I said.

Kristin helped me clean up the rest of my room. When we were done she helped me think of a plan because I still have nothing. We called Carmen and asked for a little bit of her help. I would have to surprise her today because I can't call from my cell because the number would be different.

Taylor had to work today so it was just Kristin and I. As it got later in the day we went out shopping. First we went to the hardware store and got some paint for my room. Second we went to South Wexford to get to a CVS to get the remaining few things I needed for the surprise. When we finished we went to the diner for an early lunch.

Once we were done, we went home and started to set everything up. The painting will have to wait till tomorrow. I didn't really have to do much but it's time consuming. It took a little under an hour to finish the poster.

After I was done I called Carmen and made sure everything is still good to go. I grabbed my car keys and hopped in before driving off to see Leah. She is at her travel teams' game today and its home and she is playing.

Carmen told me she is playing but I'm still a little bit iffy that her coach let her play. It's only been a month and a half since her head injury. Yes, I do realize that that's kind of a long time but for a head injury that's nothing. Sometimes it could take months for it to fully heal.

But knowing Leah she forced her doctor to clear her early so she can play. As long as she doesn't get hurt again that's all I care about.

It's weird to drive again. It's been a while since I have been behind the wheel of a car and it feels good to drive again. Like showering, driving clears my head. I have to focus on the road and not the thoughts in my head. I love driving around. I could do it for hours if I didn't have to pay for all of the gas.

Pulling up to the softball field I saw a team in blue and black uniforms on the field. I think that's Leah's team. She told me that her team is named the Dalton Blue Dragons. I parked my car and grabbed my poster before getting out.
