33. What I Need to Do

How the fuck am I going to choose?

I'm pacing the floor of my apartment, as Eric and Munch talk back and forth. I am tuning them out because I am trying to think. I care about both of them deeply and I do not want to see either one of them hurt. Alicia the way she is so self-confident with how she presents herself, and how hard she works. I remember how we met, and I was just drawn to her from the moment we met. It was kind of cliché how we met. Her stranded and taking her to buy her a coffee she spilt on me while waiting for mechanics to tell her what is going on.

It was the first time I did not constantly think about Shayna. What I thought would be a one-night stand ended up being something. Something I was still trying to figure out. I know I did not give my all to it because I didn't want to deal with heartbreak again. But she wormed her way in and little by little I was more comfortable with her and looked forward to seeing her.

"I wasn't expecting to have feelings for you like this Ryan, but it happened." I move her hair behind her ear, and she smiles up at me as we dance. "This was definitely unexpected Alicia, but this is really nice." I felt like an idiot for saying that. Nice...really? I would smack my hand on my head but then I felt her lips against mine, as she smiled into the kiss. I could definitely get use to this. It might not be the same feeling, but it could be better.

Then there is Shayna Adler, that woman is a Hellcat just like her Spitfire of a cousin, Stacy. Chris would kill me if I ever said that out loud. God, the look in her eyes when I agreed to help my brother out with that Magic Mike dance, because of stupid bet.

"R-Ryan. You have to stop." She pants as I slide my body up hers and grind on her lap. I look towards my brother and Jaxon is ready to fuck him. As Stacy yells "Come to mama" to Chris, but my attention turns back to Shay as her breath fans my skin. When her lips brush up against mine, I fucking lost it. I became addicted after that moment.

"Did you hear what I said Ryan?" I turn my attention back to Eric. I am going back home, and I need to get to my daughter. We need them away for now, so they are not in danger." Shit! My brother and his family could be in danger, because of me yet again. "I will check to see if Alicia is around, and this is not a trap and let you know. In the meantime, we are trying to track Shay's location."

"What the fuck happened with her bracelet? I thought it has a tracker in it."

"It does, but it's like the tracker is jammed but they are working on it. But Munch might have an idea of where they are." I turn my attention to him, and he clears his throat. "Tony has a few different properties that he would use as safe houses that we could start with. There might be some things in his office that might tell us where he is. I will go there to see what I can find out."

"I'm going with you." He looks like he is about to protest when Eric interrupts. "Don't do anything stupid while I'm gone." Eric says and I swear I just want to punch him right now. But he is already out the door before I can say anything else.

"I d-don't think it's a good idea Ryan."

"I don't give a shit Carl!" He flinches when I use his real name. "That's not my name anymore." I wave a hand at him dismissively. "I don't give a fuck if you call yourself the Queen of Sheba...Munch. I'm fucking going, I am not just going to sit here when I can fucking do something!"

Eric will find out about everyone else. I can't just get back home quick enough to see what is going on there, but I can do something here now. Munch puts his hands up in surrender and grabs his bag and walks to the door.

"I hope this doesn't bite us in the ass."

Yeah, I sure hope not. Because everyone's life is on the line that I care about. This is so much pressure that I do not know what to do. For the first time in my life, I truly feel helpless. I have been in shitty situations before, but this is beyond anything I have experienced and if I had any doubts before I do not now. After this is all over with, I know what I need to do.

Once we get to the main street, I see a car pull up and I am ready to pull out my gun until Munch puts a hand on my shoulder.

"I got this."

I make sure that I still have my hand on my gun as the guy jumps out of the car and hands over the keys to Munch. They do a bro hug, and he whispers something in his ear before he looks at me.

"You look after him mate." I nod my head as I see Munch blush, but he tries to quickly hide it. The guy looks at Munch again and I can see the concern in his eyes. He goes to walk away as I step closer to the car but turns back around and smashes his lips to Munch. Okay not going to lie, I did not see that coming...I mean I should have but I didn't.

I clear my throat because we do not have time for this. Munch jumps back and the guy chuckles. "Be careful love." with that he takes off. I quirk an eyebrow at Munch, and he huffs. "Shut up and get in the car." He doesn't have to tell me twice and we take off. "So...." I trail off and he groans. "Liam is my boyfriend. We met while I was supposed to be scouting for new recruits. He knows everything that I can tell him without getting him caught in the crossfire." A smile crosses his face as he looks at me. "And he is a fucking genius."

"Okay, that's nice and all but we need to get to Shayna."

"You really love her, don't you?" I don't say anything, but he talks anyways. "I can tell just the way you two interact. But the reason why I say he is a genius is because he knows where they are." He waves a piece of paper and I snatch it from him.

It's a printout with a photo of Tony and Shay. "I know exactly where they are. So, let's go get your girl."

I try to ignore how my heart beats faster when he says that. Even if a part of me wishes that, it is not what is meant to be otherwise it would be.

"Let's go get her."

Shay, hold on just a little longer we are coming to get you. I just hope we are not too late, because Tony is a loose cannon.
