Enid and Eileen where currently doing face masks in her dorm "If Shrek was a real you would be him" Enid told her older sister, before falling on the bed laughing
"Enid can you get the door" Eileen yelled as she was washing the mask off her face "You could've just walked in" She could practically hear the attitude in her sister's voice
"I wasn't just going to barge in" Xaviers scoffed as he entered the room "I wouldn't mind" Eileen smiled coming out from the bathroom
"Can you guys make this quick" Enid said picking at her purple face mask "Eileen we need to talk" He looked at the girl in front of him, her features softening
"We can talk here" Her heart was fluttering as her gaze met his "Someone more private" He hesitated with his word "The shed" She whispered she earned a small nod from Xavier
Enid was carefully watching both of the teenagers " "I don't want to stay around and watch just bring her back in one please" Enid walked out of the dorm leaving both of them alone
"Meet me outside my dorm let me put something better on" He walked out as she walked to her closet grabbing a sweater and her doc martens
"I thought you where going to leave me hanging" He closed the door for Eileen "Never" She smiled before walking around the quad
"What do you need to tell me that we have to be somewhere so private" The girls anticipation got higher "Be patient Eileen" He brushed his hands against hers
Both Xavier and Eileen walked off of school grounds towards the woods where they soon found a familiar path before it led them to their shed
They both ironically got out their keys "I got it" Xavier opened the door,letting her enter first "This is totally not creepy at all" She mumbled as the eyes of the painting followed her around the room
"Tell me about it, at least you don't have to worry about them attacking you"
"What did you wanna talk about" She was standing im the middle of the room as Xavier turned on the light that hanged above her
"I owe you an explanation Lee, i really needed to get this off my chest." He started - Eileem knew this conversation would happen sooner or later, her smile slowly faded
"Go on" She leaned against the wall crossing her arms "I never told you why i ignored you, for starters" he huffed then ran a hand through his hair before pacing around the room
"I understand what i did was fucked. it's been a while and i never gave u the explanation u deserved after leaving you broken after you let me in was cruel to say the least. and i'm sorry for that. i wanted it to just be you. treating you like my best friend yet letting you down multiple times breaking your trust was messed up" Xavier started off before catching his breath to continue
"and then Bianca she always had something against you, i broke up with her mainly because i think she used her siren song on me it felt like she was manipulating me, Bianca definitely used it on me which is why i easily listened to her on everything" He struggled with his words before walking towards Eileen
"The time i ignored you was all a blank Eileen - second reason is rowan, rowan is rowan he is fucking crazy by crazy meaning throwing me against a wall" He gestured with his hands before trailing off
"I was just scared he would hurt you, after i broke up with Bianca i wanted to start talking to you again but Rowan started going a lunatic he started saying some crazy shit about you and Wednesday, so i just pushes you away even more" He walked up to her
"I just wanted to protect you from both of them" The ends of his flips folded up - Eileen's head cocked to the side at his words
"You know I didn't deserve that" I snorted dryly before the words left my mouth, hoping it would cover how much I meant what I said as Xavier remained completely serious, I wasn't sure how well that went
"So what that's it?" he said, panic in his voice. "I've completely lost you? Again?" He looked away not daring to meet her gaze "No Xavier, you haven't lost me" She tried to continue, unable to finish her sentence again
And yet, he went on before I could beg him to stop.
"because I cannot lose you again, Lee" his voice was full of emotion. "You are the only person that has made me feel things, the only one who has truly made me feel happy, you take the numbness away without even realising you're doing it. Whenever I'm around you I feel safe, like I can truly be myself."
I couldn't believe what he was saying. This boy was so fragile, I couldn't let this go on any longer.
"Xavier you haven't lost me." I said reassuring him. "I promise to be here for as long as you promise to never act like that again"
"I promise" he replied without hesitation. "I can't afford to lose you again" He smiled before putting a hand through the girls hair
She could feel his hot breath against her lips getting closer as the seconds went by - Xavier cleared his throat as the door opened
"What are you doing here?" He questioned Eileen look over his shoulder to see Wednesday standing at the entrance
"I interrupted something haven't I" She walked around Xavier looking at his paintings "How do you know what the monster looks like?" Wednesday asked
"Wait that's the monster" Eileen pointed her eyes widening "Or are these just self portraits" The girl in front of them assumed "You think it's me, I saved you" He scoffed
"Or was that you the might Rowan was killed?" Eileen looked at Xavier for any possible explanation but he didn't look at her, he was trying to save himself before Wednesday got too deep into her belief
"You are so out of line"
"Your art seems to have a recurring motif" Wednesday looked around before meeting Eileen's eyes, who was still watching from afar
"Holy shit" Eileen yelped as something crawled up her arm "It's just thing" Wednesday said not looking at her "Where's the rest of him"
"Addams family mystery" Eileen phone was blowing up with messages from both Enid and Yoko, She was about to answer them but she Xavier yelling
