HER CHOICE

Chapter 10

By instinct, I yanked off the bedsheet and cover myself with it and that was when I noticed something else.

On the bed facing the other side and naked, was another girl whom I could not tell who it was.

I closed my eyes very tightly untill I could feel it burning and sending unbearable pains into the back of my head. I refused to let my brain processed what happened. All I wanted was to wake up from the terrible dream.

"Hey, you are awake, finally" I heard someone said and I slowly opened my eyes. It was blurry at first and I could not make out the face of the person.

My mouth was dry and I could not even feel my voice. A burn ran down my throat as I took in a deep breath and looked at the person talking to me on the bed.

It was Juju. She sat calmly on the bed and smiling up at me. Her nakedness didn't even bothered her and it dawned on me that this was not the first time she has done that. She was used to it.

And the thought came rushing down all at once. What have I done to myself?. What trouble have I put myself into? What was happening?. Where was I even?

I tried to steady my breathing as I could feel it threatening to stop.

"What...What have you done to me?" I asked sending daggers towards her and as much as I wanted to know, I dreaded for the answer. How I remained calm at that moment was still a mystery to me.

"Hey, relax. First time is always like that, but trust me, you will get use to it".

She smiled as she rose from the bed, coming towards me.

"Stay where you are!!" I shrieked as I held the sheet protectively in front of me.

The door slowly opened and I turned to see Bablo walking into the room with a mischievous grin on her face.

"Wooh!.What do we have here?" She laughed. "I thought I told you to call me once she is awake" She turned to Juju accusingly.

"She woke before me" Juju answered her.

"I wanted to see her first expression when she opened her eyes but nevertheless, I am not disappointed..it is worth it" She laughed. "How was she?"

I watched horrified as they discussed me as if I wasn't there. I cringed as what I thought was a dream was actually real and what my mind refused to believe was proving to be. I took in a deep breath as I felt the hot tears running down my cheek.

"She was the best out of all the rest" Juju said proudly.

"I thought you said Siyam was the best?" Bablo asked raising an eye.

"She is way better than Siyam" Juju laughed softly.

I looked at Juwairiya, she did not look like the shy girl I met the night before. I didn't expect much from Bablo who hated me the minute she set her eyes on me but for Juju, who stood naked infront of us and very calm was something I could not forget.

"Where is Laila?" I asked them after I have gotten back my voice.

"Probably on the street trying to lure innocent ones like you to the den" Bablo answered "Oh, not like you, I don't think you are innocent anymore" She giggled while looking at the bed which was now vacant.

"What do you mean?" I couldn't help but asked. Her words held some meaning behind it. She didn't reply but simply jerked her head towards the bed.

My heart continued beating loudly in my chest making my ears ring as I dragged my already heavy and shaky legs to the bed.

Right there on the bed, where I slept in was a small spot covered with blood and instantly, I knew what it meant.

My legs gave way and I fell heavenly on the cold floor.
