The Three Clock Keepers

"Have you heard the rumor? It's school mystery number one — the three clock keepers," Tsukasa told.

"There is a big, big old clock somewhere in the school. That clock is time itself. If you move the hands of that clock, the school's time is yours to command. But there are guards watching over the big clock. They are three keepers, representing the past, the present and the future. If anyone touches the clock without their permission, they will steal the time from their life.

"So here you go! This rumor is pretty popular these days."

Amane was worried. Lately, all school rumors told by Tsukasa were surprisinly accurate. "Don't tell me... this one is also true?" thought Amane.

"Amane..." Tsukasa looked sad.

"What is it?"

"I have something to tell you."

Tick... tock...

"Back when we were in the library...."

Tick! Tock! Tick! Tock!

Amane looked around. Loud clanks were coming from somewhere.

They were interrupted by screams. It was from their classroom. Brothers rushed and stopped at the doors.

"What happened here?!"

The classroom was ruined. Desks and chairs were broken and rusted, windows shattered, crops withered. There was a thick layer of dust over everything.

"Who would do this?"

"The textbooks, too."

"My dinner is spoiled."

"My camera!" Sousuke was about to cry. The camera was shattered and eroded with rust.

"Time jumped forward for everything?" asked Hanako-san. 

"Yes!" replied Amane.

"Can you return it back to normal?" asked Sousuke.

"This is work of a supernatural", Hanako-san was certain. "There are few supernaturals who can do this kind of stuff. Ten to one says one of the seven mysteries is involved in this."

"School mystery №1, the clock keepers?" asked Tsukasa.

"Oh, you've heard the rumor? There are three of them. One has the power to turn back time; the second one stops time; and the third one moves time forward."

"So, from what we've seen... it has to be the third keeper!" exclaimed Amane. "Let's find the three keepers and figure out how to solve this!"

They marched across the school for full fifteen minutes before noticing they were going in circles.

"So, Hanako, where is that supernatural?" asked Amane.

"I don't know!" Hanako smiled.

"What?" "How?"

"Aren't you supposed to be the leader of the seven mysteries?"

"Yeah, it's just... №1, maybe it comes from them being guardians, they can be a little prudish. I'll never forget the first time we met. I told them they could do some exciting stuff with their powers."

"What kind of exciting stuff?"

"You know, the usual. After a date you could rewind it and replay, know knowing all the answers. Then do it again and again. And once you perfect it, you could repeat it infinitely!" Hanako was cheering.

Yugi brothers looked at each other.

"Anyway, they told me that time is not a toy for humans to play with, and left me. I don't even know where their boundary is," finished Hanako.
