"GEORGIA, CAN WE talk?"

It's the next day, and at breakfast I finally go through with my plan. Georgia looks up from her spot at the table, a smirk on her face. "Imogen... I hate to break it to you, but this isn't the Gryffindor table." she says, batting her eyelashes in false innocence. "Oh, wow! I had no idea!", I reply. I was going to do something else before I finished my plan, but I can't hold back the need to slap the snarky look on Georgia's face. So, I do. Georgia draws back, her face flushed and her expression stunned.

"That's what you get for being a bitch." - I slap her again - "And that's what you get for poisoning my friend."

When I finish, I realize that the entire room is dead silent... until my head of house, Professor Stump, grabs me by the arm and drags me out of Great Hall, dragging Georgia along behind us. Once we enter the hallway, Stump lets go of us, and crosses his arms. "Professor, I didn't do anything! She just started attacking me!", Georgia whines. Stump grumbles in anger.

"I am very well aware of what you did and didn't do, Miss Nott."

I smirk, and Stump notices. "You're not off the hook, Imogen. I don't care if she deserved it or not, slapping her was uncalled for."

"I know sir, but-"

"Enough, Tobias."

I look up, and see Professor Dumbledore. Most people think he's loony, but I like him. Stump snarls. He obviously is one of those who don't like Dumbledore. "Hello, Professor." he says sarcastically. Dumbledore smiles warmly at me, and then looks sadly at Georgia.

"Now, civilly. Who can tell me what's going on here?"

Stump rolls his eyes. "I'm afraid it's none of your business, Professor. I can handle it."

"I'm sure you can, but these ladies don't seem to be taking you seriously."

Damn, Dumbledore!

Stump snarls, a low grumble in his throat. "Fine, Albus. You handle it then. If you don't mind, I am going to return to breakfast"

Dumbledore watches in amusement as Stump stalks off. It takes a lot not to burst into laughter myself. Even Georgia wears a smirk on her face. Dumbledore looks at the two of us, smiling sympathetically. "I'm sure there's a reasonable explanation for what happened in the Great Hall. Surely one of you would like to explain?" he says, looking at me at that last part. Georgia opens her mouth, to spout lies by the faux look of distress on her face, but I interject.

"Yes, I will, sir." - I smirk at Georgia, who looks at me with rage. "There was a party at the Slytherin common room last night, and I was invited. I brought Eden and Jane along as well. Georgia then gave Eden a cup of spiked punch. Eden, unknowingly, drank the whole thing, and ended up throwing it all back up." In haste I add, "Please don't drag them into this though. Going to the party was all my idea."

Dumbledore chuckles airily. "Of course not. The party part will stay strictly confidential. But Miss Nott..." he gives Georgia a sad look, though by the twinkle in his piercing blue eyes, I can tell it's fake. "You will be getting detention for the endangerment of a fellow classmate."

Georgia seethes, jabbing a finger my way. "Yeah, but what about her?! Surely she deserves detention too, for HARMING ME!"

"I was actually just getting to that. Georgia, meet me in the dungeons at 8 pm sharp." Then looking at me, "And you, Miss Avery. I'd like you to help Madam Pince in the library, also at 8. She needs help stacking books. Though it sounds boring, I think you'll find joy in it. Now, let us return to breakfast."

I swear, before Dumbledore turns completely, he shoots me a wink.
