Dave Lizewski part 7

Daves pov: 

i saw the look on Y/n's face as i was falling she was crying while mindy was hugging her i looked at chris he was also looking at her i shut my eyes i didn't want to see Y/n's face when i die i cant handle it we got closer to the ground i landed... in water i came to the surface Y/n ran up the stairs and dragged me out she hugged me so tight

Y/n: oh my god i thought you were gonna die 

Chris: I'm alive! Dave, Y/n im so sorry 

Mindy: wait there was a shark in that tank 

Chris: what.. 

the shark dragged chris underwater we heard muffled screams Y/n turned away into my chest the water turned red Y/n got up 

Y/n: oh my god.. Chris my little chris 

i couldn't stand seeing Y/n cry i hugged her tight we all walked up to the roof the feeling was indescribable Chris D'Amico dead all his wannabe super villains defeated but did we actually make the world a better place or did we just finish something that started when i first put on the mask 

mindy: the cops are gonna be here any minute we gotta go 

Y/n: i can't leave 

Dave: Y/n we gotta go 

Y/n: i can't leave Chris he's all i had left 

Dave: you have me im not going anywhere 

we got in the car and headed back to my place i cleaned the blood off Y/n's face 

Dave: hey its not your fault it's over this will never happen again 

Y/n: i know but Chris i just cant believe hes gone 

Dave: i know i still can't believe my dad is gone but we can move forward 

Y/n grabbed her bag and walked to the front door before she got in the car i grabbed her arm

Dave: woah where are you going 

Y/n: i'm leaving New york dave i'm not coming back 

Dave: What?! 

Y/n: i can't go home i'm not gonna put marcus in that situation me and mindy are better off leaving 

Dave: why he won't arrest you not after you saved the city

Y/n: Yeah but i also killed 6 guys with a cop gun vigilantes don't get a free pass 

Dave: you can't go people need you.. i need you-

Y/n: they've got you Dave your just as good as me 

Dave: but i'm not like you 

Y/n: you don't have to be a badass to be a hero dave you just have to be brave and your braver than me you'll be perfect i know you will 

she kissed me and got in the car i watched as she drove away i couldn't believe it Y/n now gone too i walked inside and slumped onto the couch. Alone again 

4 weeks later 

i had pretty much stayed inside since Y/n left i couldn't stop thinking about her, i did nothing all day i even skipped school my phone rang i answered 

Dave: Hello??

Doctor: Hello is this dave lizewski 

Dave: Yes this is he

Doctor: hello im calling you regarding a Mr Chris D'Amico he has asked for you and a Miss Y/n D'Amico 

Dave: Chris D'Amico? he's dead 

Doctor: i assure you he's alive but has injured badly so could you make your way down to the hospital as soon as possible 

Dave: of course i can thanks 

i grabbed my bike and peddled as fast as i could i got there and ran through the halls i saw Y/n from a distance with mindy hugging her as she was crying i saw her turn to my direction she waved at me as i saw her go into the room i jogged up the hallway and entered the room i saw chris with casts over his whole body with cuts and bruises 

Chris: Dave Im so so so sorry i can't believe i did this to you and Y/n i love you so much i'm glad your happy with Dave you guys deserve to be happy together 

Mindy: uhm chris they broke up months ago 

Chris: do you guys mind if i have a few minutes with Y/n 

Dave: sure go ahead we'll be waiting for when your ready 

Y/n's pov: 

i saw lying in that bed and that made me want to die i just couldn't believe it i had my brother alive but i still felt a void when i saw dave when i finally had the guts to look at him dave and mindy had left the room by then

Y/n: what is it chrissy 

Chris: why did you break up with him he's perfect for you

Y/n: were from 2 different worlds chris he comes from a normal family and i come from a crime family i'm a mess i can't even tell him i love him 

Chris: are you listening to yourself do you not realize how stupid you sound he loves you for who you are he never tried to change you its because he loves you and only you he tried to save me even though he hates me he saved me because he knew you would be upset he wanted to spare you that pain he would take away your pain and make it his pain if he could now i'm gonna be in prison for a long time when i fully recover so i mean this go get dave and take him home with you start a new life 

Y/n: what about you

Chris: ill be fine now go get him before it's too late 

Y/n: i love you chrissy you'll always be my cute little brother 

Chris: i love you too but go tell dave you love him Go!

i walked out the room i looked around i couldn't see him anywhere 

Y/n: Mindy where is Dave!

Mindy: he said he was going home he couldn't handle seeing you and chris 

Y/n: okay come on let's go 

we drove so fast i climbed into daves room from the window i used  when dave snuck me in i looked round his room he still had the picture frame of us from when we were 15 i heard someone coming up the stairs i sat on his bed he opened his bedroom door and switched on the light

Y/n: are you avoiding me Lizewski 

Dave: what are you doing here 

Y/n: waiting for you i thought that very clear anyways we need to talk

Dave: Do we? everytime i wanna talk you avoid it so im avoiding this conversation 

he was about to leave until the words just fell out all at once 

Y/n: i love you Dave i have since i was 14 seeing you in atomic comics everyday going to the movies with marty i was just scared to tell you because i hate emotions and feelings so i avoid them whenever i can but there i said it happy now!

he turned to me and smiled he ran towards me and kissed me 

Dave: you finally said it why now

Y/n: Chris knocked some sense into me 

Dave: that's a shock chris giving advice he can't even take his own 

Y/n: dave i have to leave again tonight but i want you to come with me this time 

Dave: what just pack up my stuff and leave 

Y/n: Yeah nothing is keeping you here so why stay i love you dave we could finally have a life together, a proper life not a make belief life where nobody can tell us who to be 

Dave: fine let's do it a new life 

i helped dave pack we got into the car as mindy drove across the bridge dave took my hand and looked at me it was finally the end of this city's curse of me
