When Olivia's given an ultimatum by her parents, she chooses to stay with her grandfather in South Crenshaw. And what was originally supposed to be temporary, turns into a permanent memory that will last a lifetime.
"As the world's cutest cheerleader, do you think I can get one of those championship rings you have coming?" I ask as we hold hands down the street.
"I think so," he says sweetly. "And that may be the first ring you get from me. But it won't be the last."
"Promise?" I ask and he nods.
"I promise!"
My cheeks turn red as I feel his eyes peep over for my reaction.
"Why is this walk so short when I'm with you? But when I'm by myself, it feels like forever." I state and he smiles. "Anyway, I'll call you when I get out of the shower."
We kiss a few times before I attempt to walk away. But his hand won't leave mine.
"Just come in for a few minutes," he begs and I shake my head no.
"My grandpa is probably worried. And FeFe is probably dying to use the bathroom." I say and he pulls me closer.
"Please," he begs and I can't resist him any longer.
"Ten minutes," I say and he smiles as we walk into his house.
"Congratulations," his mom yells as her, Darnell, Cam, JR, and Keisha cheers.
Spencer is surprised and fights back tears before his family rushes over to hug him.

"Congrats, baby bro!" Darnell tells him sincerely.
"Can you help me with the cake?" Ms. Grace asks me and I walk inside the kitchen behind her.
A part of me feels like she just wanted her boys to be alone for a few minutes to talk. But I do think after all of the things that went down during Thanksgiving, I should check in on her.
"I actually, just wanted to check in on you. I've spent the past few days with my boys. But I haven't gotten a chance to talk you." She tells me and I smile.
"I'm honestly okay. I was carrying the burden of my brother's addiction because I thought my parents couldn't handle the idea of our family's imperfection. But the whole time they were flawed. Just like me, Jordan and everyone else in the world! So now that the truth is out, I feel a lot less stress." I explain and she smiles.
"That's good. I'm really happy you found that silver lining. And I'm relieved that you're taking it all in stride because my son really loves you. I don't think he's ever loved any girl before you."
I smile because I know for a fact I've never loved anyone as much as I love him. And I likely never will.
"Ma, where's the knife?" Cam interrupts us before grabbing it off of the counter.
We walk back into the living room and Spencer cuts it as everyone talks about the game.
"That double move was too sweet," Darnell says as the doorbell rings and he walks over to answer it.
