The Prodigy Bloodbender (Legend of Korra X Male Blood Bender Reader)

Chapter 2

Ki L/N, the boy who defeated roughly 30 people in a single move, saving the Avatar's girlfriend, Katara, a great Waterbender in the process.  The boy who learned to Bloodbend without the aid of the full moon.  You would think after what he was able to accomplish, he would be treated as a great bender, a bender who managed to take an unknown bending ability, and take it to new heights, right?  Well, that should have been the case.

After witnessing what Bloodbending was capable of, she not only wanted to have nothing to do with it, but she also made it her own personal business to make sure that Bloodbending, along with any of it's counterparts, would be made illegal for the rest of time, so that no one would be able to use it.  That's right.  After what Ki did to help her, she wanted to make Bloodbending illegal.  Of course, the Clan never thought that she would be able to, seeing as Bending is a human right, and that includes Bloodbending.  What power would Katara have that would prevent someone from being allowed to use their bending if it's not directly harming anyone?

"The Council has discussed this long argued topic, the issue of Bloodbending being used in a normal, daily life.  We've discussed the Pro's and the Con's of this ability.  As such, we have come to the conclusion that Bloodbending does indeed carry more Con's than it does Pro's.  When used for it's main purpose, being against other people, it can be very, very dangerous and life threatening, and we cannot see it being used in any way to help anybody."  Sokka explained to those present in the court room, getting cheers from the majority of the people, but getting shouts and boo's from those that were members of the Crimson Followers.

"What do you mean you can't see it being used to help anyone!?  15 years ago, you, along with Avatar Aang, Chief Beifong, The Leader of the Kyoshi Warriors Suki, Fire Lord Zuko, and your sister, the 'Great' Waterbender Katara, came to the Crimson Followers clan.  That night, Katara's life was threatened by normal Benders and Non-Benders.  Who saved her that night?  I did!  If it wasn't for me, Katara would more than likely be dead right now!  And this is how you repay us?!"  Ki shouted at the Council.

"Mr. L/N, please.  As much as I do thank you for saving her life, this was a decision made by the whole council, not just me.  Personally, I do believe that Bloodbending holds enough Pro's for it to be integrated into everyday life, but it is not my choice.  I am sorry."  Sokka apologized to the man, who slowly sat back down, pulling in the anger that he was throwing out.

"Does anyone have anything else to say in defense of Bloodbending?"  Sokka asked to the crowd, to which one woman stood up, the woman who was sitting next Ki.

"Yan L/N.  What is it you have to say?"  Sokka asked the Bloodbender.

"Council Men, I understand that you are only trying to keep the people safe, and trying to keep the peace that the world so desperately needed after the 100 Year War.  We all want that.  But, you must also understand that this decision that you are set to make will only truly make a difference in years to come.  Are you sure you wish to start another war?  A dangerous war?  A Civil war in the city that everyone helped to build together?"  Yan asked, startling the Council Members, as well as the civilians on the other side of the room.
