Liam smiles charmingly at her and she nods her head at him. I turn my face to look at Liam who is smiling at me making me feel giddy inside before I shake my head. "Liam? Um...meet my mum?"
"It's very nice to meet you Ms.Justice, you look very lovely this afternoon," Liam says smiling at my mother while I stand shocked, staring at Liam beside me. I can't help but wonder though, possibly the weirdest thing to think of right now, how does he know my last name?
My mum seems to unfreeze from her little trance and take in what Liam just said to her. She blushes at the compliment and actually, smiles at him? What? This is Liam Payne for Christ sake, she shouldn't be smiling at him!
"It's great to meet you as well, Liam. But I am not Ms.Justice anymore, please call me Veronica. Would you like to come in?" My mother asks politely with a smile leaving me stumped.
"I would love that, thank-you."
My mother smiles one last time before she steps inside and walks down the hallway back to the kitchen while Liam walks inside with his arm still wrapped around my waist. I'm so confused and shocked at the situation that just occured I don't even notice when I sit down at the counter with Liam beside me. Looking at my mother's back while she continues to cook and speak with Liam, I listen to their conversation.
"Would you like some dinner Liam? I'm cooking for Ashley."
"Oh no, I don't want to be a bother," He says politely. Where was this attitude when he dragged me in to his car and house refusing to let me go?
"It's not a bother at all! I'm already cooking so I would love to do it, how do you like your steak and potatoes?"
"Medium well and baked, please?"
My mum laughs and turns to smile at us which I suppose only Liam returns. "Exactly like Ashley likes hers. Do you two have much more in common?"
She turns back around to cook but I know she still wants an answer. I wait for Liam to say something but instead I feel myself be lift up by two hands and placed on a lap to which I glare up at Liam as his hands rest on my waist naturally and he smiles making me roll my eyes and turn to look at my mother's back once again.
"We share a few common interests. We are both stubborn as mules as it would it seem, and we both stand up for what we want."
"I am not stubborn!" I say offended turning to look at up at Liam who laughs along with my mother. I cross my arms against my chest while Liam pulls me closer to him so I'm practically laying on his chest. I don't even try to fight it since I know he'll only tighten his grip.
My mum turns around with two plates filled with our dinner and smiles at our position, she is so weird. Any other mother would be outraged that their daughter is laying on a boy's chest but no, mine smiles.
"Aw, you two are so cute together," She says smiling while I hold in the urge to gag. She places the plates in front of us and I lean forward to eat while Liam does the same and mum sits on the other side of the counter watching us.
"So how long have you two been a couple?" She asks after a moment. I start coughing on the bite of potatoes in my mouth while Liam chuckles and smiles. I'm choking and no one helps? Great to know.
