Mutsumi Crying Happily

This may be considered a fanart, but it's actually traced and colored from the official art of one of Mutsumi's facial expressions that was drawn by Takayuki Noguchi (the character designer of the anime movie and OVA) as a *Settei material.

NOTE: Settei or 設定  is the Japanese term for model sheets or character sheets. It means setting. An animation studio first makes a copy of the sheet before passing it along to the animators as reference material while creating anime to keep everything on model.

However, the source that I used to make the lineart was found at an online auction site called 'Mandarake' where I was searching random things that pop on my mind on Google at the time. As I saw the original picture, it was typically in black and white without any color.

Yes, I did indeed made the coloring look anime accurate as possible. After I was done with the whole process of lineart and painting, I thought that I could add an emotion by drawing happy tears based on the original picture that showed the expression.
