After getting ready for school, Riley took the first bus that goes to his school, wishing like the other day that he would be able to see Miles, but unfortunately, it didn't happen this time. And because of this, he was sad all the way from the bus station to school. He wanted to see Miles and see how he would react if he said or did something stupid again, although he knew what would come after that. Miles would come after him and chase him around the whole school until he gave up running and said sorry to him. Thinking about all this, a smile arose on Riley's lips, and now he wanted to see Miles even more.
Riley entered the school, and all the way to his class, he looked for any sign of Miles, but no, he didn't see him anywhere. And because of this, he felt irritated and suddenly started feeling sad and depressed. He goes to his class and goes to sit at the last desk in the classroom. He didn't want anybody to come to him and talk to him. He wanted to be alone for a while.
It was second period when Dean noticed Riley sleeping on the back desk. Usually, he never sleeps in the class until... 'until something bad happens to him.' Dean thought and suddenly rose from his seat. He knew his friend was in trouble.
Dean goes to Riley and asks him in a low voice, "Hey, what happened? Why are you sleeping?"
Hearing Dean's voice, Riley slowly raised his head and looked at Dean with a sad face.
'The hell!' Dean cursed in his mind.
Dean saw his friend, who was looking totally devastated. His eyes were filled with tears that were going to flow down to his cheeks any second, and his nose was all red; maybe he had already cried.
"What happened to you?!" Dean yelled. He was ready to kill anyone who made his friend cry. He was going to take revenge on that person, and he had a little idea who the culprit was. But then he wondered if he really could beat him.
Riley suddenly lowered his head and didn't raise it again. Dean was confused by it. But his confusion doesn't last, as he turns his head around and sees everyone in the class staring at them, wondering what was going on there.
"Oh, nothing happened. Just friendly talk." Dean waved his hands in front of him and turned his head back to Riley. Now he also needed to hide his face. He was so embarrassed.
"Hey, move a little." Dean nudged Riley with his elbow, and Riley moved to the left on the desk without raising his head a bit.
Dean sat next to Riley, and now everyone in the class also turned their heads away from them.
Dean took a sigh of relief and went to talk to Riley, but only then did the teacher enter the classroom, and he couldn't say anything.
After half an hour, when the teacher left the room, Dean patted Riley's shoulder and asked him in a low voice, "Now tell me what happened. I will help you."
Riley finally raised his head after some minutes of good sleep and looked at Dean with a confused face. For a whole five seconds, Riley forgot that he was at school, and then his memory slowly recovered. If it wasn't because of the history teacher, maybe he was still crying. But thanks to her lecture, he slept for a good twenty minutes.
"What?" Riley asked while yawning.
Dean was confused and was also a little angry. All this time, he was thinking that his friend was crying and that he couldn't do anything about it. It made him feel so bad, and here he was yawning and asking, "What?"
Dean hit Riley on the head with a notebook and brought his memory back.
"You worried me so much. I couldn't understand even one word of the teacher, and you are saying, 'What?' Do you have any shame?" Dean's mother mode was on now to scold Riley.
Riley scratched his head as he tried to remember what happened. Why is Dean yelling at him? And then the smile that was hanging on his lips faded.
" Waaaaaa!!" Riley suddenly hugged Dean and started crying.
The students who were yawning and feeling sleepy turned their heads to the drama in the back of the class. Even though they sometimes didn't like Riley for being so noisy, he was also the one who entertained all of them with his stupid actions, and now a drama was waiting for them to watch.
"Oh, what happened, little baby?" A guy sitting in front of Riley turned his head and asked Riley as if he were talking to a kid.
Riley dodged the boy's hand, which was touching his head, and again turned to Dean.
"I don't want to talk to you," Riley said to the boy while faking a cry and hugging Dean even tighter.
Dean wanted to push Riley away and go back to his seat. He couldn't see everyone staring at them with hearts in their eyes. It was so embarrassing.
"Let me go. The most beautiful girl in our class is watching us." Dean spoke in a low voice so only the two of them could hear, and Riley immediately let go of Dean. He looked around in the class to see who was the most beautiful girl and wondered why he had never noticed that his class had beautiful girls too.
"Where is she?" Riley asked, looking around the class for that beautiful girl.
" Nowhere." Dean hit Riley's head with his hand and got up from the desk.
"Where are you going? We haven't talked yet." Riley grabbed Dean's arm with both hands and stopped him from going.
"I'm going to my seat. When you get in the mood to talk, then come to my seat. Now let me go." Dean said while pulling his arm away from Riley.
"Now you also don't want to stay with me?" Riley said with a sad puppy face. He knew Dean could ignore anything but this.
