"Why I can't see anything..."
She tried to screamed but there's no sound. Slowly her vision cleared up. What see saw making she wish she hadn't. She cover her mouth as tears slowly flow down her cheek. The memory keeps haunting her.
"You killed him." She heard her voice said except she didn't said it. "You killed him."
She heard the voice again. She turned around, searching where the voice came from but there's only her and his dead body laying in front of her.
"You killed the boy you swore to protect."
"I didn't kill him..."
"Stop feeding yourself with lies. You can't run away from it. You can't run away from me." The voice laughed.
She turned around and saw herself with a devilish smile, staring at her with glowing red eyes. Except her hair was black like the void while hers is blonde almost white. The figure walk closer towards her.
"You always blame yourself and you should. Because it is your fault. Because you can't control the monster inside you. What a shame."
"No..."
"You can't denied it. You killed him." Iris looked down at her feet trying to stop herself from looking at his dead body. "Such a shame, killed by a loved one. What a tragic love story."
"Stop it." She look up at her.
She laughed. "Just admit it. It's your fault. You did!" The figure screamed at her as her voice slowly change into a deep scary voice. "You kill him!" She with a demonic voice. Iris close her eyes tight and cover her ears with both of her hand, wishing to woke up.
She finally woke up. Tears still running down her cheek. The same nightmare, keep haunting her every night. It's been a month since Ben's death. Everyone had move on but not her. Not Iris. For her, it's only been like days. She keep blaming herself for it, for his death. The voices always reminded her that it's her fault.
He's not there to comfort her from her nightmare anymore. He's gone. Her nightmare change from the voices that keep telling her that she's a monster into a horrifying playback of her lover's death. His last words keep repeating in her head every time she closed her eyes. His last kiss lingering in her heart until he was nothing more than ash.
