Sorry for my awful posting schedule. I've just been pretty demotivated lately, and I often use most of my energy/motivation drawing. When I'm not doing that, school takes up my entire day. And then on the weekends, I'm usually drawing, as said before.
So yeah, sorry if my schedule for the chapters are all wonky from now on. I kinda just wanna write because I feel like it, not because I have to.
Is this another break?
No, it's not. Although, I may take a break from writing this when Christmas comes up (merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it! Happy holidays for those of you who don't celebrate it).
Are you gonna write the chapter now? It says Chapter 12 at the top.
Right, yeah, sorry.__________________________________________________________________________
"Uh, Guiding Light?" Shadow asked, glancing back at the closet they'd just been kicked out of. He looked nervous.
"Yeah?" Spirit replied.
"There are eyes on the wall." Shadow pointed at the wall. Spirit followed his gaze, spotting a couple of Seek's eyes. Annoyance filled Spirit. Of course Seek's eyes had to be there to laugh at Shadow and Spirit. Of course.
"HAHAHAHAHA! LOOK AT THE TWO IDIOTS!" One of the eyes seemingly giggled.
"I bet you $5 they're in love." another eye said. Spirit felt their face turn red as one of Seek's eyes said this.
"Why don't they just confess already?" a third eye complained. "Right now they're boooorrringgg."
"SHUT UP!" Spirit yelled at the eyes finally, enraged. Spirit pulled out the pencil from earlier and stormed over to the eyes, giving them all death-stares. "REMEMBER THE PENCIL? I STILL HAVE THAT, AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT."
"NOOOOOOO, LEAVE US ALONEEEEE!" one of the eyes screeched, retreating backwards farther into the wall. The inky black eye appeared somewhere else in the room, regarding Spirit and Shadow with suspicion.
"I'll report to Seek." another eye whispered.
"NO, YOU WON'T DO THAT!" Spirit stabbed the eye using a pencil. The eye screeched in pain and disintegrated, dark, midnight-black ink splattering all over the floor. The other eyes' whispers quieted down, almost to the point of silence.
"Guiding Light, was that really necessary?" Shadow asked, sounding exasperated.
"Yep!" Spirit replied somewhat cheerfully.
"You're so violent sometimes, I swear..." Shadow muttered, rolling his eyes. "Makes me wonder how I put up with you."
"You should thank me," Spirit declared.
"Thank you? Why?" Shadow asked, confused.
"For putting up with you, of course!" Spirit replied, grinning.
"Why, you—" Shadow threatened playfully, smiling. "I'll get you for that!"
"As if you could catch me!" Spirit scoffed, dodging out of the way as Shadow lunged at them. Shadow turned and grabbed Spirit's hand.
"Gotcha!" Shadow yelled triumphantly.
"Hey!" Spirit exclaimed, their face going red. Spirit and Shadow were holding hands! Spirit suddenly felt self-conscious. They glanced at Shadow. They gazed at his white eyes, and his playful smile. Then, as Shadow made eye contact with Spirit, Spirit quickly looked away, embarrassed. (THIS IS FOR EVERYONE—INCLUDING MYSELF—WHO HAS STARTED SHIPPING SHADOW X GUIDING LIGHT)
"Let's keep going so that we can leave these eyes behind, okay?" Shadow said in a soft voice.
"Y-yeah, let's do that." Spirit agreed. Inwardly, they were thinking about how ADORABLE Shadow's soft voice was. This distracted Spirit, and they ended up zoning about. They allowed Shadow to guide them through rooms, pulling Spirit along by their hand. Shadow's hand, unlike Spirit's, was smooth and gentle. He did not have a single rough spot on the palm of his hand. His grip on Spirit's hand was loose, careful not to hurt the entity. So Spirit made sure not to hurt him. They were...looking out for each other. Because that's what friends do. Friends...right...just friends.
"Dang it! I can't see!" Shadow exclaimed as the two entities entered a dark room. Spirit was snapped back to reality. They flickered their free hand's wrist, illuminating the exit door.
"It's okay. We'll be out soon." Spirit assured Shadow, squeezing his hand. Shadow seemed to relax at this. Spirit couldn't help but smile upon seeing their best friend (crush?) happy.
"PSSST!" a familiar voice hissed suddenly.
"Screech?" Spirit asked, turning their head. Unsurprisingly, Screech was floating next to them. Screech flinched back as Spirit made eye contact with him.
"No, I'm Gery." the entity replied, frowning. (My friend requested this XD. By the way, it's pronounced "Jerry", not "Gary.")
"Oh. Well, hello there, Gery." Shadow greeted the small, floating creature. Shadow smiled at Gery warmly. Spirit had the sudden, violent urge to kill Gery, or at least get away from the entity. Spirit hated it when Shadow smiled at someone else. It gave them this sharp, angry feeling. Was this...jealousy? Spirit looked down, suddenly uncomfortable.
"HAH! LOSERS IN LOVE!" Gery shrieked directly next to Spirit's ear, snickering.
"Wh-what? We're not—we're not in love!" Shadow protested, stuttering.
"Yeah, what he said!" Spirit agreed with Shadow.
"Uh-huh," Gery replied doubtfully. "Try to convince all the OTHER entities that. Besides, Hide told me how ADORABLE you too are together."
"I am going to strangle Hide for the second time." Spirit hissed.
"No, don't—don't do that." Shadow said quickly.
"Good luck, lovebirds!" Gery teased, disappearing into the shadows of the dark room. The only thing that remained were Gery's white, glowing eyes.
"I HATE HIM SO MUCH." Spirit muttered angrily, staring Gery down.
"Let's go, Guiding Light." Shadow covered his own mouth with his hand, giggling at Spirit's anger towards Gery's teasing. Spirit couldn't help but laugh along with him.
As the two exited the dark room, Spirit's light that they'd used to illuminate the exit door disappeared. However, Shadow didn't seem to notice. Soon enough, the Seek's eyes were back. However, this time, they knew better than to taunt Spirit and Shadow. Seek's eyes just whispered amongst themselves, falling silent as soon as Spirit pulled out a fairly sharp pencil—and it was the same one from before. In fact, the pencil still had a trace of the ink from the last eye on it, which terrified the rest of Seek's eyes even more. Spirit smirked at their terror. They enjoyed every last bit of it.________________________________________________________________________
And that's all for Chapter 12! The actual Seek chase will be in the next chapter, I promise. The "Gery" Screech was requested by one of my friends (grisgery on Roblox). Grisgery has created the Gery army, and he wanted me to include it in my book, so here we are! Some parts of this chapter is a joke, while other parts of it are just plain wholesome. I ship Guiding Light x Shadow so hard now lol.
Anyways, what do you guys like seeing in a book? Drama? Sadness? Fight scenes? Wholesomeness? Murder? Anger? Relaxing/calming scenes?
Also, what should I do for my 500/750+ reads special? I was going to do a 500 reads special, but then the reads skyrocketed to 750. Thank you guys, by the way, for all the reads!
Give me suggestions for what to do for my 750+ reads special in the comments.
Have a good rest of your day/night, and thanks for reading Roblox Doors AU: Guiding Light's Revenge Chapter 12!
