The galaxy dangled above the baby's head. She reached up and tried to touch earth, but failed. Earth was just too far up.
The baby's name was April. Her mother died giving birth to her. Her father had passed away a month before. April was sent to an orphanage, but was soon adopted.

April was adopted by a family who couldn't have children, of there own. The mother's name was Lisa. The father's was Jason. They vowed to give her the best life they could manage.
