I sat quietly on the swivel chair and stared up at the monitor. Ray hadn't given me any instructions today, so it was quiet.
I swiveled around to see henry sitting on the round couch, staring blankly down at his phone. Every 30 seconds or so his phone would buzz. I examined his actions without even realizing I was staring. He set his phone down. After about 30 seconds it buzzed, and he picked it up again. He stared for a minute then snickered.
"Henry." I whined.
"What?" He replied.
"Do we really have to be here if we're just going to do nothing?" I said anxiously. He ran his fingers through his dirty blonde thick hair and stood up.
"I'll go ask Ray if we could call it quits for the day." He said walking towards the elevator.
I shifted my legs and swiveled around a few times before I got dizzy. My phone buzzed, and I checked the screen. It was a text from Henry.
"Come up to junk n stuff. Ray said we could ditch."
I hopped out of the chair, then ran to the elevator. I was ready to get out of this boring hell-hole. I decided to take the tube instead. I grabbed the remote for the tube and ran to the tubes. I stood aligned with the circle on the ground. I pushed the button on the remote and said up the tube. And up I went.
So this is my first chapter. Its kind of boring but it gets the story started. Comment how it was and tell me if I should write more. I hope you enjoyed.
